I think the cheapest 747s I’ve seen are the European Air Charter (EAL) ex BA 747-200s, which even now can be had for as low as £30.
It’s the constant re releases that are most likely to gather dust though. I don’t mind personally as I only really look out for exciting new gems which drop in from time to time, finally seeing a RR 767 released was great, and now coming in Landor too, and a delivery colours Springbok 744 was another recent highlight.
I think the model I personally anticipate seeing the most whenever somebody decides to produce it has to be the LTU MD-11 (with polished belly of course). If it come nestled in between another tranche of Emirates A380s and Speedbird 747s, so be it!
