I'll disagree with you there. It's pretty much in line with the era. TWA (Trans Western Airlines/Trans World Airlines), Trans-Canada Airlines... Air Transat's not fair off.

In fact, there's currently a Transair Cargo airline in Hawaii.

I wouldn't say the livery is any more "simple" than most other airlines of the era either. It's actually quite similar to the Air Canada livery of the time, but with a different colour scheme.
