Pre-paying makes so much more sense for budgeting purposes.
I get that, I more or less do the same thing except I move the money to my savings account when I preorder a model. I'd rather get interest on it for 6 or 8 months than let the retailer hold my money, plus I feel like I'd be far more aggravated if I had been waiting 6-8 months with no ETA and my money is already gone.
