Default Two Boeing 737-500 customs

Hi guys,

the Boeing 737-500 is one of my favorite aircraft. I also have travelled numerous times on Aer Lingus and Lufthansa on this type. As there are no such models available in 1:200 I decided to do customs of the.

First up, the Aer Lingus: Donor was a Hasegawa model. Not particularly hard to assemble, however needed some time and investment in paint, glue, and pens. The green is a bit dark, however that is the Revell color they also use for the Revell Aer Lingus A330 model. The decals were from Airway Graphics, the coroguard from Liveries Unlimited. Both decals went on very hasssle free.

Next up is the Lufthansa. Donor was a Hogan Air Do. I did not remove the paint but decided to just spray over it. Unfortunatley the old livery still shines through very lightly . The decals came from Draw Decals. The whole title, door, windows, registration was one decal, that was a nice and time saving idea. The Lufthansas have white wings, however I have not been able to get a decal for the "do not walk outside this line" line.

I found the Hogan model really good, while I also very much liked the detail of the Airway Graphic decals, which seemed to be more detailed and a better replication from the original.

Hope you like the models.

Markus
