As far as the AC main LG door too close to the gear leg for added support do you really notice that? The key to 99% perfection is to build one or more of the great plastic models out there instead.
I quit that 10 years ago or so as not up to it at this point. There is room for HM and AC but you pay for what you get and neither are really cheap compared to 5 years ago.
