drop the "possible" because
it can be done. There's a series of steps involved, not easy, but totally do-able. And I use the same scanner that other companies have used to scan and rebuild aircraft parts, but actually scanned entire aircraft.
Scanning is the easy part. Then the scan data needs to be retopologized for and built with 3D printing in mind. Once that's done, then you can 3D print.
