Exclamation Airbus corporate shop bargain sale!

Dear friends,

Yesterday I received an e-mail from Airbus shop. They're selling models and other things for really very low bargain prices and FREE SHIPPING worldwide. I found models from 3.78 euros (A318/A319/A320) to 7.38 euros (A380)!

Let's shop Airbus - the official AIRBUS merchandise website

I've got 8 models (4 for me and 4 to re-sell) plus 3 polo shirts!

I think Airbus is preparing a new corporate livery for Paris Air Show / Le Bourget 2011, so they're selling everything with current logo and livery...

.

The Airbus corporate models are made by Dragon Wings! I've got my first 1:400 model as a gift (the A340-600 #55800) in June 2006, when I visited Airbus factory in Toulouse.

Yes, all 1:400 are made by DW (I have almost all - A319, ACJ, A300-600, A330-200/300, A340-300/500/600, A380 and Beluga). The minimum value is 30 euros... get one more and keep it to make a custom model later!

Oh yes, I threw in the A320. 6 models for $40 and free shipping... saying that I am giddy right now is an understatement

Somehow they show the discount on the aircraft pages but on the checkout page the price shown is still the full price for the items. And I won't place an order for such high value... :P

Did anyone order and then have the website say the order was "cancelled" on the same web order form?

the prices are very good, but looking at how DW stuffed up their once-perfect A330/340 nose, I wont even bother order anything in the 1/400 scale from Airbus!

Yes, mine did that the first time too. There seemed to be many intermediate steps/page refreshes involved in the credit card processing, and I'm guessing that I either entered a digit incorrectly & it was rejected or something just timed out and I got dumped back to that page. I placed a new order with the same credit card and got a confirmation e-mail the 2nd time, and the 2nd order also showed up correctly in my airbus-shop.com account.

The first one still shows as cancelled, so hopefully I won't receive my order twice and/or be charged twice. I doubt that will happen. We'll see!

My status is now changed to "Pending Payment" but when I open the order, it shows 1 ordered and then 1 cancelled written in the same block.

I hope they answer the email on monday. As all sales are final, I do not want to get 2 orders of the same material and then try to fight with them about a return or go through eBay.

Thanks for the info.

It's a pity that Boeing hasn't decided to pursue their A versus B war and lower their shop prices the same.

No problem. My status is "Processing", I never saw "Pending Payment":

Good luck!

you know, I havent given given much thought to the scale. Its more, whatever catches my eye! That might make a purist cringe but I have a great big room that is just begging to be filled!

Nothing wrong with that, that's how I started ~15 years ago. But now I'm out of space and bringing more of a standard scale/fleeting focus to my collection. But it took years to reach that point.

I know that this might require a different thread but....

Go for collecting 1:400 models. Compared to 1:500s that are very small and lacking detail, and 1:200s, which are very nice, but expensive and large (take up space), 1:400 models offer a good value for money compared to their level of detail. The newer ones are especially nice. Im not saying that collecting whatever catches your eye is a bad thing, but most people standardize their collections after awhile. Just my suggestion: go 1:400

True, but it has been stuck in that phase since the 21st. Just saying my order is being sluggish just like the rest of them.

I hope that this wont turn into something similar to the 'WMaquetes' fiasco (That is still going on I believe. Am I right?)

I think they oversold and can't supply the demand. I won't be surprised if many of you have your orders cancelled.

I bought some 1/200 and 1/400 models and some stickers. My status has been updated to "Processing"

Wow I really hope that everything works out. Its not that the models I ordered were anything special, I was just looking foreward to my first A321, A380, and Beluga

Pretty poor. You would think they would provide some sort of feedback. Hopefully it does go through, I need my airbus umbrella with all this rain. When did the sale start? Surely They would have A computer System that would indicate when an item is out of stock and prevent over ordering.
