Thumbs up Dragon Wings - Customer Care - Applause!

Hello All,
After doing inventory last month, I came across two models that for years have been missing parts. Specifically, their nose gear assemblies. After calling DW directly, a gentleman named Armando was very helpful in locating the missing parts for a Columbia Shuttle and TIA Electra. All that was needed was DW's stock number and the part was located. note: the TIA Electra was Jet-X, so I was able to get a generic assembly from their Northwest release.
I can't even begin to stress how important customer service is...from the manufacturer as well as the retailers. Armando was polite and very helpful. That goes a long way for a collectors brand loyalty. (I've said this a hundred times, but....DW also makes the most accurate engine/pylon assemblies that other mfgs simply overlook).
The parts are now on the way, gratis. Thank You! Dragon Wings and the retailers whom are always polite and sane- you know who you are! This gray gloomy day in NYC became a bit "lighter" after such a pleasant customer service experience.

Part 2: (OT)
If there are any collectors here with an extra KC-10A Extender/F-117 dual stand, Please IM/EM me. I would be interested in purchasing one as the seller did not enclose one inside the box. NOTE: Always ask questions before clicking your paypal tab.

I've had similar experiences with Dragon Care too ...
They seem to know customer service better than some other diecast makers.

I too have had a great customer service experience with Armando @ Dragoncare recently.

They replaced my 747-8F that was manufactured with an incorrect pylon on engine #2. It was a pain-free, hassle-free transaction from start to finish: they sent a prepaid Fedex label via e-mail for the return and dispatched the replacement as soon as I told them I had called for a pick-up of the bad model. Excellent communication all around.

Bottom line, use Dragoncare because they are dedicated to their products.

BTW and OT, here is the link to where I purchased the 747-8F if you are considering getting one. It's the best price and shipping I have found:

Newegg.com - 1/400 Boeing 747-8 Freighter

Sadly guys, I did not have the positive experience you have had with Armondo at Dragon Care and I am not sure why. Even getting Waffle involved had no effect. For two years I had an open case number requesting some replacement nose gear and wheels for various A320's I have. I was/am willing to pay. He finally responded that there was no way to get the parts and closed my case. I find this a poor way to deal with customers and will never buy another Dragon model despite some very tempting offerings.

On the other hand GJ responded within days to several requests for parts and has been very easy to work with. Yes, it costs $10 to get (5) parts but I now have a good stock of parts for several aircraft. The only problem is getting the broken nose gear out- the only way seems to be to drill it out.

Yes I have had issues with parts mainly nose gear.

First my 767s of Aeroclassics just do not know where to go to get a replacement.

Dragoncare seem to not respond and not care now.

I have just re-entered my Dragoncare request so we should see what happens this second time.

Maybe I should try the Dragon USA email.

I don't think Dragoncare even exists anymore, they no longer sell models to the public and just do corporate orders on a limited range now. Most of the posts on this thread are over 5 years old.

Changed days then, because their service was always second to none. I'm pretty sure they stopped doing it years ago though, could be dreaming I guess ?

I just had a response from them last week. Hoping to get a couple 727 landing gear sets. I have at least 25 747s by dragon with everything intact while only a few of their 727s and am missing tires/wheels or gear on 2 or 3. These were models when received had everything intact. But somewhere along the line fell out. My favorite 727 northwest orient front tires/wheels just fell off I suppose and this would have been ok had I seen this happen. Had it out the other day just to get it ready for sale being I have a few of that same 727 is when I noticed the missing gear. If dragon care don't help I'll find a parts plane someday. Just got lucky this week on my mint Qatar A380 that was missing it's box. Found it on eBay with a missing 2 rear wheels Qatar A380. I got it for 26 bucks and now my sweet Qatar A380 has a home plus I get to display the one I picked up with the box. Was very happy to make this model complete.

I thought the same. I also note that the posters are all referring to the Dragoncare rep in USA, but surely they don't deal with the rest of the world? I thought Dragoncare operated from their factory in China?
