It's a shame that Herpa does not release more in 1:400! Great model and thanks for sharing!

What are the exact dimensions of this model i.e. length and wingspan in inches? Is it bigger than the 1:400 A380?

Yes, it's definitely bigger than the A380. This is the original dimensions:

Wingspan: 88,40m, Length: 84,00m, and Height: 18,10m

You'd have to think *they* may have been waiting for that new livery to appear before the CEO at Herpa HQ rubber stamped the idea. Hey maybe they even paid for the 1:1 respray ?

Good marketing strategy by Herpa, knowing how few variations of this model they can make, they'll wait for you lot to rush out and buy one, then release another one with the Buran space shuttle on top.....I can wait!

Unfortunately (for my picture taking), Herpa models are almost never equipped with them.

no...have you ever seen real airplanes with stand (holes)...?
if you want accuracy you cannot put a hole into a model - no matter for what purpose...

yes, I'm sure this small detail can cause great stress to those who intend putting their models on display in the upside down crashed position.........

As I understand it, Herpa shipments go from China to the US via ship, as opposed to air freight to Europe, so whenever the boat docks at Long Beach I guess which would be early February.

I do hope we'll get the buran version. So I skip this one although it's hard and (perhaps) risky...
