I don't ever need another mint, by just looking at that Air Canada.
Is the colour correct for this model?
In saying that, I'll take the Royal Air Brunei & Air Canada.

At least some Untied "Shades of blue" aircraft are being (re)done. One step closer to seeing it on the A32X hopefully.

The Royal Brunei B777 looks really good, but I'll wait for Phoenix's 777.

I'm just wondering if anyone still collects GJ's 777s nowaday.

I really hoped for a Shaghai Airlines 757 as opposed to Air China, but I take it.

Ah, nice. I can never resist getting a model if I've been on that exact aircraft.

The Henson Dash is a surprising and tempting offering. Looks like that little guy is still operating, in US colours.

Does anybody else think Air China desperately needs a new livery? I hate their look.

No, totally disagree. It's a classic style cheatline look.

What do you want, a plain white fuselage with a web address? Don't we have enough of those already?

It's a frumpy, outdated austere look. The font needs help. The logo needs help. It's a reminder of China's past, not their bright future. It need not be eurowhite; it just needs a makeover of some sort.

DW's version of the UA 744 had the correct engines, and was cheaper. Just FYI.

A non-400 Dash 8 mold. Very nice. Would love to see America West o/c, and NW red/gray.

Very impressed that a 3rd AC 77L has been released in 1:400. I wonder how it would compare to the PHX versions though.

Now lets wait for the same old "nothing for me" posts...

Yes the Flying Tiger is cool...

Back off topic... Had a nice time in the blistering heat of Athens was working on a couple of tv news stories regarding the current economic mess. Beautiful place !

What's the difference between this United release and the 2005 release (GJUAL566)? Other than the reg #?

I agree. IMO Air China is the leader when it comes to colourful and vibrant special schemes. Take a look at a few, they are amazing! Yet their normal livery is still trash...

I have no idea why GJ decided to make the third model of am AC 77L, rather than trying something that doesn't exist! Like an AC 767 or A330. I appreciate another Canadian release but what is the point?

Mind you CA already had a larger font on the B744 and 772.

Love the Piedmont/Henson. That is a must have.
The Royal Brunei is very tempting.

If I wanted to fleet-build with United and Air Canada, those would be interesting. But since I'm already gonna go broke on the 1/200 side, I'll have to pass on those and hope they are still available later.

A couple of those 1/200 models would be nice to see in 1/400...

I'm stunned with the Henson, I believe I saw this bird in GSO just last week. Amazing how times have changed.

Add me a UA "Battleship" to that list.

Just the reg number, and they may do the engines right on this one.

I'm glad I'm not the only one excited about the PI bird, if this list is anything like the rest of 2011 I believe I will be one broke collector.

I've really been enjoying these U.S. regional turboprops lately. Great stuff after a VERY long drought (for me). I'll admit that this Henson Dash 8 isn't quite as desired for my collection as the AE Saab and Shorts, Delta Connection Saab, and US Dash 8, but it'll be a nice addition to go with my Piedmont fleet. I'm still really hoping to see the Dash 8 come out in US Airways Express old colors and USAir Express colors at the very least, and I think the chances may actually be somewhat good since GJ cranked out all three US liveries on the 1:200 Dash 8 mold pretty quickly. And a Business Express Saab would be icing on the cake

Despite peoples heartfelt wishlists and a few undone workhorses, I do wonder if a lot of what can profitably be done has already been done.

In which case, the regionals provide an area that has still been underexploited.

In spite of what some think of Air China's livery, I love it, and that new GJ model is comin' home to me! Wish they'd have done a CAAC version while they were at it!

With space at a premium, I'll pass on the AC 77L, as I already have the Phoenix one, and am happy with it!

So PHX and GJ don't have any more agreement with each others and they start competing each others now regarding the new/re- released models

CA it is (for Air China), AC is Air Canada.
Expected within 2 years replaced by A321.

Mind you this is only the first AC 77L by GJ. Might be because they want to please the people who are building a diorama. But still, some non-diorama building collectors may still opt to buy every single release that fits their criteria.

Thumbs up Re: Gemini Jets 1:400 January Releases

It looks like Gemini have done a Saab 340 on the Dash-8-100/200 mould...
They've fixed the JC tonka tyres!

Thank you!

It was supposed to have been delayed due to production difficulties, so maybe not enough had been made for all dealers, so they decided to make it a January announcement. Certainly strange to announce the same model twice?

Same here. And o/c please.

This little Dash looks nice though, I'll get it someday.

Me too! I flew LAS-GCN-LAS almost 20 years ago, just a few days before America West decided to discontinue the service. It was such a nice flight, a scenic tour over Grand Canyon included in the airfare.

Look forward to seeing also the two earlier US Air Express liveries...

A Shanghai 757 would of been fitting. Didn't they take delivery of the last 757 built?

Talking about the Dash 8, I don't believe these -300 models would be good sellers, but I'd like to see them as 1:400 miniatures:

That's an interesting point, but do GJ actually do any research into what would be profitable or what they 'think' might be profitable? Do any repeated wishlists actually mean anything to them, as I have yet to see anything made by GJ that has been repeatedly requested? I do wonder how much influence the airlines have over sales, regardless of what collectors want? I have watched the same things requested for months and months, nay years, by several forumites, yet these models fail to appear because GJ think they know better! Their sales may prove otherwise than the knowledgable collectorate on the forums!

I am stuck on ordering the GJ Royal brunei, I would like to see a RB 777 from phoenix but now its been made by GJ i cant see PH doing this one again. GJ and PH seem to be in bed together and dont like to cross to the other side, I think phoenix have had enough chance to make this and the fact GJ made it first means PH passed on this and let GJ have it.

Lost opportunity by phoenix, made by GJ but will still sell out.

I consider their own sales data to be the most superior source of market information.

Too bad for us, we can't see and study those numbers.

Can anyone confirm that the UA B744 will be made on the new mould with improved rolling gears? The pic for this new release seems to be taken from the last release on the old mould

I will admit, I do like the KLM silver bird. Will sell out quickly I bet.

a DHC-8-300 would be a welcome mould addition to the -100/200 and the 400 moulds
