Luis may have responded to you, but your spam or bulk folder may have snagged it. This exact thing is happening much more often to me then it used to and those customers write to me thinking that I am ignoring them. I even utilize gmail as a backup which only seems to work half the time for those problems.

Default Re: ADAMJets RETURN Policy!

To whom it may concern: All retailers have a RETURN Policy. This particular individual claims that he has written ten e-mails to us and we have not responded.
This is not correct.
I get hundreds of e-mails each day. And although I may not get to all of them on a daily basis. I respond to all regardless!

The case in questions involves a model that was shipped back on the 28th of November, 2008. The model was listed with his wrong registration. When it was received. The customer contacted us about this. We apologized for the error in our listing. We thanked the customer for bringing this to our attention and proceeded to correct the error.
The customer requested an RMA which we complied with, including instructions. For returning the model. Never heard back from the customer until last Thursday when we received an e-mail from PayPal on a customer that wanted a REFUND. After contacting PayPal we learned that the customer's request for a refund was not accepted. On account the transaction dated had past the PayPal policy.
On Saturday afternoon we received the model back from the customer post marked the 17th of January.

This individual was extremely careless and neglected to properly pack the model. He just dropped the model inside a box without any packaging materials. Luckily the model arrived in excellent condition and is now in our to do list pending a refund. For the record, if the model had been received damaged. I can assure everyone. I would not even be chatting about this.

For those that may question this matter. For the record, our policy for returns or exchanged is seven (7) days from the date of receipt. ADAMJets.com is under no obligation to process this refund. Morally, I'm not in the habit of taken peoples' money.
So with this said. Note that a refund will be processed, only this time it will be on our own time table. This individual was not in any type of hurry to complete this transaction. When it took him well over our seven day policy to return the merchandise. The individual has not written ten e-mails. If not we would have received at least one of them and responded. At this time the individual has already been contacted on our intentions and we have asked that he takes his business elsewhere. We don’t' want this kind of business.

Thank you for your fast respond. I am out of the country right now and will be back on Jan 11, 2009. Unfortunately, my girlfriend has thrown away the bubble wrap and Styrofoam but I will do by best to repack it as you usually do.

Thank you

Yossak"

This email might have not arrived to your email but there is no way that anyone would know. So I assumed that it did reach your mail box and you understood my situation and sent the model back to you as soon as I arrived back in the US. This is what caused misunderstanding.

I did not "extremely careless and neglected" packed the model. I did put styrofoam inside the box. But if that is extremely careless and neglected to you solely because of no bubble wrap, then I am very sorry.

I decided to file a claim through paypal solely because I have not heard form you and also I trusted ADAMJets since I had purchased many models from ADAMJets in the past 2-3 years and never had a single problem. Otherwise I would had filed the cliam as soon as I received the wrong model.

I am not a kind of person who take advantage of others also. I hope that anyone who reads this post understand my position.

Thank you
Very distasteful of you to make this matter public. I don’t know what your agenda might be, but Luis’s customer service is among the best in the hobby and 99% of the people who have done business with him will tell you that.

Don’t worry about this Luis; you don’t need to deal with difficult customers like this one.

I’ve received at least one package per month from Luis for the last three years and never had a problem. OK, a model’s registration might be incorrectly listed from time to time, but I read the forums and check manufacturer’s websites often so I am always aware of what I’m buying. If you really cared about your models, you would do the same.

I feel sorry for the retailer that will get your business from now on.

What everybody is trying to say here is what you are trying to do is not the correct way to fix problems like this.
I've been dealing with Luis online and personally when he had the store open here in Miami for long time and never had any complaints about his services.
As he said, probably he receives a lot of emails daily but you can be sure he will answer.
In the worst of the scenarios a phone call would fix this situation right away or just have a little of patience to get the answer.

This collection world is very small and those that are collecting know almost every retailer, IF adamjets were one of those with bad service BE SURE everybody here would give you bad feedback, but that's not the case with adamjets.

Ahhhhh.....the joys of retailing! Every single retailer has had issues like this come up and there are always two sides to each story.

Like Luis, I have come across a handful of collectors whose money wasn't worth the trouble they caused over a very simple mistake that could be easily fixed (or just being major PITA's). And we as customers, have also taken our money elsewhere.

I have conducted business with Mr. Vajasit as he did order this very same model from me. The transaction went the way it is supposed to, and I hope that Mr. Vajasit was happy with it. However, I know there was one instance with this very same model with a different customer where i did send the wrong one!

Mr. Vajasit, if the little 'edit' button is still available on your first post then my suggestion would be to delete this thread and continue to work with Luis privately on this matter.

I totally agree, very distasteful...and it's more like 99.999999999999% Here's your .000000000001.

Yossak, your own emails indicate that it took you from December 17th until at LEAST January 14th to return a model. It also indicates that you have worked with Luis in the past. Did you have a problem then too or are you just out to flame a respected retailer on a public forum? If there was a problem, you should have immediately shipped the product back, not screwed around for a month.

No, what he SHOULD do is apologize publicly for flaming a contributor to this website and a well respected retailer, and then ask the moderators to delete this thread.

Since you seem to like things made public, allow me to retort publiclyto your PMs...

Yes, I can read that, thank you. My English and grammar skills are probably better than 95% of the people here, including yourself. But come on...when it takes you a month to send something back, you need to be realistic and cut Luis some slack. I mean seriously, even if you DID mail the package back to him on the 17th (unless you can prove otherwise), it's only today nine days (barely six business days) later. If you average a four day shipping period, he hasn't even had the model for one business day. Considering he is a MAJOR retailer that receives thousands of requests a day, how many requests for things do you think he's had pile up over the 30+ days it took you to return a model??

One of my favorite sayings in business (and please pay attention) is this:

Procrastination and lack of action on your part do not constitute an emergency on my part.

If it took you that long to return a model, and (if what Luis says is true) it was damaged due to your packing technique during return, he should be well within his right to take an equal amount of time in returning your money.

You're too generous ~Z!!
If he had returned the model to me damaged because it was improperly packed, he would not get any refund at all!
If he made it public here, well, I'm sure you all know what kind of rhetoric I would have fired back!

I'm sorry Luis had to read this BS on a public forum, and that the author was so inconsiderate when starting this thread. Luis deserved better than that!

I just love how when somebody gets upset at a retailer, that they feel that they need to come here and complain. They think by doing this that they will put the retailer out of business, cause him to lose his house, and send him into the lowest level of poverty.
