Default Looking for a Republic airlines model

Hi,

Does anyone make any diecast models in the gray/white/red Republic airlines paint scheme? I have a dc-9 and 727 in the herman colors, but would love to have them in the gray/red/white colors.

Thanks

Brian

Brian I still find it hard to believe that the final Republic livery has yet to be done in diecast. I am one who is still waiting for these to be produced. I would love to see a 1/200 Gemini Jets 757 Republic. Now that would be a sharp looking model!

I'd take a 757 and MD-80 in final colors for sure, maybe a DC-9-30 too.

Woud love to see the final livery and the B757 as well. I have a couple of extra DC-9-32's, N922RW and N963N.

Let's not forget the 727 in this scheme as well.

The final/Stephen Wolf livery for Republic is one of the last things on my wish list. I'm waiting for a 727 and 757. A DC-9-30 would be nice too.

And then do we talk about the hybrids mixed with NWA colors/markings/logos?

Well, I can dream!!!

Even the Convair 580 took on the last livery. Same with regional services of Republic Express on Jetstream 31s and Saab 340s.

Dave,

Are you saying this is a fantasy model and never wore this scheme? If so, I think you may be wrong. I have three different reg numbers on my slide spreadsheet with the grey final livery. I didn't pull the slides, but I recall seeing them in this scheme. As someone mentioned, I think every plane in their fleet wore the final scheme.

Nothing fantasy about that. It was as real as it got.

A SAAB 340 would look great on the shelf---so many SAAB schemes I want---why no SAAB mold? It wore every major US scheme out there of the 80's (as a commuter variation)---AA, BN, CO, DL, EA, NW, TW, UA, etc.

I just got an MD-80 in 1:100 scale since I wanted this livery. I wish Gemini would do the 1:250 MD this way. Funny but sad how Republic's last livery fit well with the Northwest Orient logo later shortened due to this merger.

That is true. There is nothing in 1/400 of this scheme yet.

I never understood why Republic chose this livery! The previous one was a million times better. Why did they get rid of a pretty cool tail logo for such a bland livery?

Yep, Republic had at least one example of the DC-9-10/30/50, MD-80, 727-200, and 757-200 in the "Mary Tyler Moore" colors before Northwest came along. I'd love to have a fleet of these in 1:400!

Honestly, Republic's first scheme was still "North Central with a new name" and not really "their own". I mean, it had NC's colors and NC's logo.
