Default AC CV440 small issue...

Just got my two Mackey's, regs. N9305 and N442JM. On word on the mould: Amazing! Of course we wouldn't expect anything less from AC. The mould is absolutely flawless! One issue on the finish though: On the bottom of the cheatline, just above the rego on the left side is smudged out pretty bad. This is on BOTH models. Anyone else have an issue with this?

Sorry I don't have a pic.

Nope. I have N9305 and it's almost flawless, just the blue is a little dull, not as shiny as the glossy white. I chalk that up to standing out in the Florida sun between flights. Sorry. Dylan, the QC inspector must have fallen asleep when those went through.

Its just weird as both of mine have the smudge of the cheatline is the exact same spot. Oh well, no real CV-440 ever looked as good as these beauties!

Dylan,

As unbeliveable as it may seem, I have not yet ordered this pair of Convairs. Though in good time I will have them.
Having had similar issues with other models in the past, I would ask you if the models rest in thier plastic cradles in such a way that there could be some "rubbing" going on, at or near the registration? I remember my Eastern Provincial 737 had a similar issue.
