AWESOME RELEASE!!

Only AC could have released this model!

Considering all the errors that GJ has made with their Trident releases, it's great to have an alternative available.

Because AC use a better researcher to get the liveries more accurate - ME!
GJ PIA Trident has inaccurate Pakistan flag + silver leading edges to the tailplanes, which is not correct! AC have picked up on these errors and present a more accurate version!

Jokes apart but the wing on the GJ is too much like a mirror. The silver panels as seen on the AC release do give a more realistic appearance. In addition to this, the AC version has the correct shape of wing root. Compare the APUs. You will see that the AC version is just about spot on for the Trident 1s and 2s. GJ's is almost the size of the Trident 3's booster.

Thanks, how about the wheels- fixed or turning?
Is the wing going to be different fro 1 and 2E models?

To be absolutly correct, there should be 3 different Trident wings; the 1C; 1E and 2E/3B. The smallest wing being the 1C, the 1E had a slightly increased span with different tips and enlarged flap area. Finally, the 2E (and 3B which had the same wing) had its span further increased with Kuchemenn wing tips added giving a more rounded look to the tips. (These were later removed when cracks were discovered in the wing and 1E tips were substituted as part of the fix.) Without getting your micrometer out, the biggest visual change is that between the 1E and 2E.

As we already have to be content with one wing type on the 1-11 (the current short body releases have the -500 style wing) then I guess we will have to be content with a "generic" Trident wing. However, we can but hope.

Adrian.

This was very good news. I really enjoy and trust everything I read from your posts or comments. Always accurate.

So, since you have this "unknown" input (to AC). Every effort should be used to bring on all your list down to (ALL DONE). An that's including CL-44 in, you know what dress(?) !!

I count on you!!

Andrew, I take it that the other Trident variants are not far off? BEA 1C (especially dear old Papa India ) , Northeast 1E, BEA 2E, BA 3B etc would be very good indeed.

I hope they dont do PI, but I hope they do the one that got away, G-ARPB, the autoland development aircraft that ended its days with most of the Tridet 1s at Prestwick, though it should have been preserved. PB lasted till the mid 80s. I was inside it as the chopped it up. Fun.
