Thumbs down Hey Jet-X, Piedmont is Late!

Your website says the Piedmont 767s will be released Nov. 5th and it is now December 6th. Can we expect to see these in this lifetime or the next?

It may not be their fault! Near the end of the year I bet something else has happened which is out of Jet-X's hands. Maybe exports and imports.

You make me sound as if I work for them. No! Imports and exports are pretty much out of anyone's hands except Custom officials. They may have expected them to arrive earlier. I feel they are as organized as they will be. I would like to see you do the same as these companies do during this time of the year with importing products.

Did anyone stop and think about the following:

JET-XMODELS ARE MADE BY DRAGON. THEY GET DONE WHEN DRAGON GETS AROUND TO GETTING THEM DONE. THAT'S WHY THEIR RELEASES DON'T COME OUT AS OFTEN. THAT'S WHY THERE ARE DELAYS.

That is all. Please STFU.

Again, why should Jet-X getting dragged by the nose by DW? They might as well find another manufacturer for their amazing models.

Nick, ya know what, we've been waiting for these models for what...6 months now?? I had planned to give a couple of them as Christmas presents, BUT I guess we won't see them now till January at the earliest?? ..

As a business owner, such as Brian of Jet-x, I don't know how he has the patience to deal with Dragon's bull**** to be quite honest..I personally would have canned their asses already.

My point in originating this thread is how can you stay in business when you purposely announce a new release just days before your competition (in this case Gemini Jets) is releasing the same product and then still not release yours over 6 months after the announcement?
Clearly that was an action taken to try to persuade the public to wait for your version while making it appear that it will be out in a matter of a few weeks.
Using the excuse that Dragon arbitrarily would hold up production for so long just to make their own product doesn't wash. Jet-X has their phone number and I would think someone there would have enough business sense to know how to write a contract to include standard performance deadlines.
This instance following the ridiculously long time between announcement and delivery of the Mexicana DC-10s destroys the consumers trust in your company.

Jet-X stays in business because collectors buy our models, pure and simple.

Hey, we go by Dragon's production schedule, there's not much we can do when they slip it, not us. No one is holding collectors hostage to buy our models. We try to ship superior products, if you want crap rushed out the door, then you need to look elsewhere.

Thumbs up Well said

Well said Brian and I for one am eagerly awaiting the entire line-up of Piedmonts that will be released. However although I too look forward with anticipation and excitement to their arrival, I for one do not want all my enthusiasm to go right out the window with a less than thought-out perfect model. I have yet to be disappointed with any of my JET-X models and expect that though late your usual quality and attention to detail will be as always..impeccable. thx and have a great holiday. thanks Racer...

To everyone else - do you really think I purposely like to delay releases? That costs me money. It results in frustration. And then I have to read posts like this. Bottom line, I don't own the factory or the moulds, and thus I just have to deal with it, simple as that.

Additionally, have you noticed that we're not posting future release blue prints or samples any more?

Dragon was the only one at the time that would make a business deal with JetX. In all honesty I dont know why anybody gets worked up about when a model finally is released. Anybody that has been collecting for 2 years or more knows the drill...here about a model then maybe it shows up soon and maybe it doesn't. If not then there are many others to choose from.

I remember when we had ZERO Alaska models in 1:400...now we have over 20.

Patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to this hobby.

The arrival of model airplanes are frequently what keeps me from turning into a bridge support or flinging myself off tall structures. Thanks for ruining my life Brian.
