Amazing, can't beat the true classics which have survived the test of time and still flying today!

I wish tickets for flights operated by them could be more affordable though. Not everyone can put down more than two grand like that without thinking twice :/

Yes me too, I have wanted to travel to Canada to fly in one for a while now but the price is a big turn-off.
$1000+ is crazy and pretty much the cost of the flights across the Pacific from Australia.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Geez, $3000 for a round trip, and not guaranteed to get on a 732? I wonder if just doing the one sector will half the cost?
Might have to fill up a bag of groceries in order to avoid the costs of that supermarket.
I dream to do it someday, maybe one day... I regret flying on Iran Asemans's 727's, and I know I will regret it if they retire these before I fly on one.

Canadian North flies their 732's from YEG-YZF for a pretty reasonable price (less than 500 for my GF and I one way). Only problem is the territories aren't allowing tourists.

Inuit flies from YUL to YQB on Wednesday with the 732. Thanks to so much competition the price is pretty comparable to whats offered by AC

I read that Canadian North are retiring their 732's in 2022, not sure how early though.
Will definitely check out the YUL-YQB fare, thanks!

Canadian North has ONE 737-200 combi left (584 C-GDPA). 95% of the time she's based in YZF, for YCO and YCB routes. She seldom makes the trek down to YEG for sched runs. Depending on the flavor of the day, her retirement date ranges from 2 months from now to a couple of years from now... time will tell.

From a pax perspective, a disappearing rarity. From the pilot perspective, she's a damn fun plane to fly and I'll miss it when she's gone.

So you pilot her? That's awesome like flying a giant Cessna or PA28.
Wonder if it would be possible for a whole bunch of avgeeks to charter a short 40 or so minute scenic flight around, I feel it would be better to try it with Nolinor, not much point doing it in a combi.
Might have to message them and ask for a quote.

She's not fixed in that "combi" configuration: We can support a wide variety of configurations!

112 all passenger config
2 pallet/76 seats
3 pallet/60 seats
4 pallet/34 seats
5 pallet/24 seats
6 pallet/6 seats

if you commit to removing the aft galley and furnishings, she could go to a full 7 pallet cargo configuration (never happens, unless aircraft is a dedicated freighter)

As much as a charter would be fun, I bet the cost to undertake would be astronomical.

How often do you use the full 112 pax config? And how long does it take to change the config? (On average).
Do you use EFB's for the perf numbers or do you still use the paper charts?

She’s not a QC, where rolling in/rolling out interiors and seats are a breeze. A good ground crew can convert a plane inside of a couple of hours with proper manpower/equipment. Rare to see her in full pax these days, but it used to be common when our 200s were numerous.
