Default Aeroclassics October 2021 releases

Pretty interesting stuff. Found this on their Facebook, was posted about an hour ago so surprised no one’s posted about this yet on here. Would love the United MAX 8 though I think I’ll wait for Gemini Jets to do that and a MAX 9 Evo Blue. The FedEx models are tempting for me as well, despite me getting an A300 already last month

DC-10's, TU-154B2 and the Braathens ordered. Great set of releases.

Looks like there is also a BA A319, G-EUPZ, not pictured in that release.

Not too many releases this month? Don't they usually have more?

Weren’t there meant to be multiple releases of -AP amongst this lot? Maybe they’re delayed. CCCP-85000 is an interesting one, the prototype TU-154.

That's part of the ARD specials coming out this month. The A319 along with the A320N G-TTNA in special BA New World livery.

Probably a hoax. The same thing happened with the 1:200 scale PIA B720B which was due last month but "cancelled".

Mr. Klein knows how much PIA models get me excited. He's cried the wolf too many times on AP- registrations, so next time when he announces these, I will treat them as an April fool's hoax.

Another example of cooperation between Mr. Klein and third party brand names.

mam4uk has stated a BA A319, G-EUPZ, is in this release too. As for any others I’m not sure, think this is all they did this month.

The pair of AP- aircraft are merely delayed until next month presumably like the Braathens and VARIG were delayed from last month.

Very pleased to see the Ty-154 prototype. I see it has already sold out at AC direct. I guess very few were made or it was more popular than expected. Hopefully that encourages more Soviet era metal from AC.

Purple top anything is welcome. I think I have a 737-200 and 727-100 purple top by Aeroclassics? I think the 727 has a Canadian reg?

Yes, both of those would be great. If not N303FE, then N306FE would work for me (first new build DC-10 delivered to FedEx, and also the "Auburn Calloway" aircraft..crew survived attack by fellow crew member that was riding in the jump seat.... plane is still active with FedEx today. As for a DC-10-10 in purple top, I would prefer one of the ex-CO birds.. N68055 was the very first one delivered to FedEx on 3/3/80. Any of them from N68049 thru N68056 will do though.

I agree.. I have the 737-200 N204FE (which was the very first plane I worked when I hired in at Federal Express) Any of the 727-100's from N101FE thru N136FE will be OK for me as I worked all of those too.
Yes. The ones with the Canadian reg were leased to Morningstar Air Express for operations in Canada. I think there were 7 727-100's with the Canadian reg.

Dang! I missed out on the Aeroflot Tu-154 - anyone know when I could grab one from another retailer? Looks like ezToys and jetcollector have yet to post them.

First time in a long while there'll be none for me this month. All just miss the criteria, either being 'too new' or pre 1990's. The Braathens and Aeroflot delivery schemes were tempting however!

Whilst it's good to see some DC-10's, I hope the purple scheme Federal Express DC-10's will follow soon...fond memories of those visiting LHR in the early 1990's

Braathens 767-200. Although I would have preferred a real bare-metal belly, Aeroclassics uses an excellent aluminum-colored paint. Aluminum is darker than silver, and NG's painted-aluminum bellies can be too light. AC sets the standard here.

That silver looks indeed very good but ‘setting the standard’ would definitely require an appropriately polished belly. Still, I don’t get it why AC is painting the engines intake section in those dark grey colours. Do they need to hide something? And what happened to the left MLG? Curtesy?

Congrats on your purchase.

I was trying to find the positive in a less-than-ideal feature. Polished bellies are definitely what a model with bare metal should have.

While the fuselage/wings and livery are really good (apart from the non-polished belly), you are absolute right. Unfortunately.

Get rid of the monster truck sized rolling tires and put on some static normally sized tires thankyou.
These tires remind me of those from a SQ12 supercub!
