The HL- SP's are likely to be Korean Air Lines "KAL" delivery cheat-line c/s & Korean Air "blue top" scheme; B- could be Air China/CAAC/Mandarin Airlines...the JA- L-1011 is very likely to be All Nippon Airways "Mohican" scheme, an absolute holy grail, however if it has a silver painted belly instead of polished again then it's another missed opportunity for a definitive representation in 1/400. Looking like another good month for retro classics, though!

Hoping for a 90's livery Aer Lingus A332, with either EI-DAA or EI-EWR and with red 'dot-com' logo. The two I've flown on.

Looks like a very good distribution of mould usage, plenty of classics and modern airliners, hope they continue this trend.
JA8509, An ANA tristar, that will be nice to see.

The blue Korean Air identity, which is still used today, was introduced from March 1, 1984. With you on the polished belly for the L-1011, we live in hope.

Looks like some good classics.

I may get all 747SP's if they're varied liveries--both Korean, and CAAC. JC Wings missed the black paint below the cockpit windows on theirs, so I'd want to replace it.

Please, please have regular bare metal if the L-1011 is ANA Mohican. That way it can be definitive, as Alex noted.

The B- reg Tu-204 is almost certainly Air China Cargo:

Air China Cargo Tupolev Tu-204-120CE Pichugin
Dmitriy Pichugin (GFDL 1.2 or GFDL 1.2 ), via Wikimedia Commons

The B-5XXX A330 is probably this aircraft, which has been pre-announced on some Taobao sites for a little while:

Yes you’re right, in my excitement I overlooked that. Well that narrows it down then.

I will be very tempted by a Korean Air SP in delivery colours as well as an ANA "Mohican" Tristar - one of my all time favourite liveries!

Would like to see a Mandarin SP in due course as I managed to get a pic of one at Kai Tak back in 96:

Awesome catch, Keith! Sadly I missed the days of Kai Tak. I see you've got some great photos of classic LT buses too - another of my long-standing interests. I was contemporary to the Leyland Titan & Olympian, MCW Metrobus (my fave) and of course the venerable RM/RML. Never caught the once ubiquitous, unpopular DMS class as by that time the remaining fleet of B20's were based in South London, not my manor. Better stop here as derailing an NG release thread into an LT bus ramble but couldn't resist commenting as you've got some great pics there, cheers!

Thanks for the positive feedback on the flickr site - could go on for ages about the buses but for now here's hoping that the actual NG announcement is not far away. It looks as if this months hints has grabbed the attention of the collectorate....

Very welcome, yes some great photos in your albums there. Haha, likewise, very passionate about my interests, can become a bit of a motormouth if I’m not careful!

Definitely, there’s lots to be excited about this month. Hoping for KAL/Korean Air SP’s and a polished ANA Mohican TriStar, the cherry on the cake. Can’t wait for the confirmation.

Very good question!! Probably an NG curve ball, making us think it could be Aer Lingus but then who woulda thought it was an Irish registered 330 that Alitalia was one of the customers for?

I really hope the ANA mohican Tristar has the actual chrome belly, not grey metallic paint. I was quite disappointed about the Alia, but now they moved to a new factory so maybe they have fixed that issue

I keep banging on about this, and so do others - but I hope so too. The polished finish would have really lifted that Alia model. I'm hoping they've finally moved the TriStar moulds to the new factory where I'm sure the SP's are already being made, those have been released with the polished finish without any apparent issue since day 1.

So if the NH TriStar isn’t polished finish is it a hard pass? Should we just wait patiently?

China is currently having National Holiday from 10.01 to 10.07, so the earliest I think is the release will be tomorrow (10.08). But large chunk of the release has been pre-announced by various sites already.

Wouldn’t be for me; if I were you, I’d still get it. Once that’s been made it’s unlikely we’ll see another one…that’s why I really hope NG will get it right first time round with the definitive polished finish…as with the Alia release, I can’t see that being redone. Another version perhaps (orange titles etc.) but a reissue of the other?

The last time I wrote to NG on this topic and they replied, which was on September 10th they said:

"There are still challenges to using electroplating processes for Tristar’s polished belly."

I wouldn't therefore expect to see any metal finish L-1011s anytime soon. Hope I'm wrong.

One of these days you're going to have to acknowledge what I keep saying about it being fruitless to expect consistency from any manufacturer regarding release timings.

Bugger. Doesn’t sound great, but thanks for the update anyway. Shame they can’t perhaps put the mould on ice for a bit, or hold off on doing the key ‘grails, until they get that fixed.

I didn’t say anything about consistency within NG’s releases. They’re usually inconsistent about when the hints drop, then the full release list anyway, but it does make you wonder what NG is up to right now as it’s been almost a full week since the hints dropped as I type this…

BTW I never expect consistency anymore with new release announcements from manufacturers anyway. They’re all over the place right now and I suspect issues within the supply chain and the jammed ports in California messed it up even more.

It's been a Chinese national holiday the last week or so, so perhaps partly why they haven't announced?

That would make sense, didn’t realize there was one going on at this time. Someone tell me what it is?

Well there we go. Looks like we’ve got the ANA Mohican TriStar coming with a painted belly - what a shame. That subject could have been truly nailed but they’ve missed the mark on another ‘grail. Will still get it as I’m not optimistic about seeing another one done, the Korean Air SP is the other definite add.
