Default Spares?

The company that cleans my house came today, and despite my instructions they decided to clean my model airplanes (which normally sit on display in a covered shelf). They showed complete disregard for them and knocked off no less than four engines and the nose gear of my Dragon Star Alliance A340. I found all the engines and reattached them, but the A340 nose gear is nowhere to be found. I’ve reached out to Dragon customer care but I’ve heard they no longer support model airplanes. Are there any other good sources of parts for models? I’ve searched the forums but have found mostly older posts.

Not sure if this would work, (anyone know if the Aeroclassics gear piece is the same size as the Dragon one?)

Better get someone to confirm if it will fit before you make the purchase though. It may be a little too small to be a comfortable fit, but a decent amount of glue should make it snug.

Bummer, best suggestion I have is to go on eBay or Waffle's collection sale to see if you can find a donor. If there's any good news here, at least Dragon models typically have easily detachable gears. Good luck.

A man who can afford his own cleaners can afford better A340s than those by Dragon Wings - ha ha ha

Sorry I couldn't resist. I agree with others - your best bet is finding a cheap donor. Most Dragon models aren't typically expensive or sought after so it should be possible.

Fitting an Aeroclassics A340 gear to a Dragon model is probably possible but won't be easy. I am almost 100% certain the attachment areas are nothing alike.

Best suggestion is just to buy a cheap A340 on ebay. And send a nasty email and review for the company and never use them again. It's a complete disrespect! I mean why would they do more work than they need to? I would've happily do LESS work not more. Unless they MEANT to destroy your models!

If anyone finds a good source of damaged models please let me know. I'm looking for front gear for Dragon Wings 747-400 and 767-300.

Online the prices are well over $100!

You're looking in the wrong places, I find Dragon 747s and 767s for less than $30 all the time.
