Default Gemini and the new 744 "flaps down" mould

Good to see GJ using it.... though I don't want to let this turn into a wishlist... what about some classic 744s in this configuration?

Sorry, but adding gimmics just pushes the price up. Don't need rolling gear, aerials or flaps down to enjoy my collection!

Fine for you, and enjoy your models. I can take or leave aerials and rolling gear. but flaps down and slats extended is where I'm at. Chocolate or vanilla? Doug

Totally agree with you except for the Aerials. They really add a huge amount of detail to the aircraft and when you're also a planespotter it makes it that much cooler to see just how closely represented a 1:400 scale model can be to the actual aircraft and the aerials help achieve that!

I’m still on the fence with these. It would be innovative if the flaps downs versions had different reg numbers than the standard model.

Aerials are the worst out-of-scale gimmick to hit 400 scale and are an eyesore in many cases, especially on small narrowbody aircraft.

You won't find a "flaps down" model without aerials.

Btw, the range of manufacturers no using aerials on their models should be pretty limited nowadays - is there actually one apart from AC not having aerials on its models?

Gemini occasionally when they officially release models made with old moulds which have been sitting in the factory for ages.
Also GJ turboprops, and their E190 only has one antenna, which does make aerials look bad, why bother putting just one on if you're not going to have all of them?

I like the flaps down option but only at random picks. Just makes a nice little difference in the standard flaps up mode. The aerials are good and keep with the realism of aircraft as you would see them. Which aircraft do you see at any airport that don't have aerials (so Im happy with them)...however,as for AK's take on this, the bit I do agree on is AV400's aerials on their 350's are definitely out've scale and looks odd! Other manufacturers pull it off nicely!
