The Air Canada fly the flag looks great. However is it just the picture or is the engine a little low or tilted forward?

That WN Freedom One looks stunning! The SAS looks awesome too. I'm just a little bit disappointed that the SSA probes were printed on these models (same error as the SU).

Is there supposed to be a restock of the Southwest 737-700 canyon blue arriving with these releases? My retailer said there was since I’m still waiting on two of those models since April.

No, there isn't a reproduction of that model this month. Every time NG cuts retailers orders on a popular model, they tell us that they have a plan to reproduce it, although it tends to take years due to how many models NG is working on.

Depends on the retailer, some of them source models from other retailers or distributors who still have some in stock.

Hmm that’s interesting, the retailer was Diecast Airplane store and I was just wondering because they told me back in June that there were tons of QC issues with the NG Southwest 737 canyon blue and that they were getting a new shipment of them in August. Here’s the thing, now they’re telling me that they’re not arriving until early September which I’m assuming is with the August releases so maybe they’re sourcing the models from other retailers?

NG doesn't have any distributors, and it's practically sold out at most worldwide retailers at this point. Yes, that model did have pretty notable quality issues, and many did arrive broken, unfortunately.

From the screenshot's above, it could be that the Southwest's that he mentions that are due in early September are the Freedom One's, as the email mentions "Southwest 737" generically, and not specifically about the N252WN Canyon Blue.

Being a bit nit-picky, I know, but I think NG really need to look at the nose of the A350s properly, the 3 aircraft in this release don't have the probes under the (forward) cockpit windows, but the models do have them.

I REALLY doubt he was referring to freedom one since I had already emailed them about the two southwest Canyon Blue models in the past and they know I've been waiting for those for months now! I literally pre ordered them the day they were announced back in April.

I understand, but I would highly suggest confirming with him that it's about the Canyon Blue 737-700, as there's a good chance he was talking about the Freedom One as he said "The NG Southwest are due early September." to your question "Are there any updates on the Southwest 737." Retailers get hundreds of emails about orders each month, and this was an order you placed months ago. If somebody asks me if there are any updates on the Southwest 737, I would assume myself it's the Freedom One as that's the next one due. It lines up with the timeline, and combined with the fact there's no reproduction of the Canyon Blue Southwest 737-700, this is what makes sense to me.

Again, i'm not sure, but I would recommend clarifying to avoid disappointment.

Yeah you do bring up a good point. I went ahead and sent them another email. Hopefully they do get those models for me and if not then it's refund time and more than likely a lost customer as wait periods that long with no updates is unacceptable.

anybody know when the NG freedom one will arrive at our houses, if we already preordered it a long time ago?

It was announced prematurely due to demand, so it’s not actually delayed

This is not "a bit nit-picky". This is a quite obvious mistake . Why can't they check things like this by looking at existing photos of the real thing? So many opportunities to detect this mistake.

I was so disappointed when I saw they added the SSA probes to a model that does not have them in real life. I thought they were going to get that right this time since that "mistake" was pointed out when the Aeroflot A350 was released. At this point, I guess ALL A350s they release will have the SSA probes (even those that do not have them). This is no longer a mistake; this is an error.

In this hobby, NG takes the best photographs of their models (products). Not sure why after 20 years, others don't follow their lead. It's what collectors want and need.

I get your point but… still… as long as several manufacturers are delivering products with moulding inaccuracies so that you cannot even guess the aircraft type they are trying to copy, or delivering models featuring seams (i.e. gaps) of half a meter when converted to 1/1 scale, I have little understanding for misprinted probes. If they are superfluous, just erase them. If they miss, perfect, they match with most other models around. My strategy: get the big things right, then talk about the little things. And the micro problems follow after that. This goes for any manufacturer and any model produced. Just my two cents worth.

They should arrive at retailers later this week, and collectors should receive them by next week.

If they are superfluous, just erase them. If they miss, perfect, they match with most other models around. My strategy: get the big things right, then talk about the little things. And the micro problems follow after that. This goes for any manufacturer and any model produced. Just my two cents worth.
Fortunately, this is a tiny error as you state, and I can live with it. I'm not even trying to erase them because I do not want to accidentally damage the model. In this case, I prefer to ignore it, but that does not mean I will not point it out. I'm a big fan of their moulds and how neat and detailed the printing looks. The only thing I want (and I know most collectors want that too) is that they avoid these kinds of errors that have been noticed several times.

I can accept the existence of those SSA probes too.

There are indeed notable improvements for the NG A350s this month, which I took delivery of yesterday.

The nose landing gear door gap with the fuselage is greatly reduced, and Lufthansa's A350s feature white wings (or is it much paler grey wing?)

Indeed! This is a point which - I hope - any collector (and manufacturer) will agree to: using their toolings and available aids to avoid unnecessary errors and deliver a product as good as possible.

Well, I'm glad to hear that there are several improvements. I'll take a closer look at my SAS A350 when it arrives.

Yeah I wish they'd sort that out!!
