Default GeminiSelect list

For fun, I decided to make a list of all the GeminiSelect releases made in the mid to late 2000s. While Gemini Jets' website has a database listing these already, they never say when they were released, and I'm fascinated by what month and year a specific model was released. I was able to get the specific months typed in for almost all of them; missing months for VRG013 and BNF026 though. This has been fun to work on

Well done. That must have taken some time? I have a few of these. The ONA DC-10 being my favorite. Isn't the Loftleidir DC-8 the one shaped like a banana? I believe most of the run?

Took a few days. Looking to find one somewhere, I know eBay has some of them for $30-$75, so not bad prices overall.

I should mention I'm working on a spreadsheet for the other Gemini product lines. Hoping for those to be finished soon, making good progress on them now.

Excellent. Thank you for your work on this. I've been looking for this info myself. If I can remember exactly when I bought my Braniff 727-200 (BNF026).. I could help you out on that one.

Very nice. Wish I could go there but I’ll try to make it for Airliners International next summer, pending [current situation] doesn’t call it off.

That ANZ 742 is a beauty, very hard to find though.
I have a contact who says he'll sell me his AC version when he finds it, anyone have a comparison between the AC and GJ version?
I also understand the it was gonna be released by sovereign models, but GJ released it instead?

At first, I thought mine didn't have it, but the more I looked at it and compared to other DC-8 models, it does, and was tail heavy trying to get a picture.

A lot of the Capitol DC-8-61s unfortunately have zinc rot.

I believe that Select models were limited to 500 pieces issued. Nowadays that would be a huge run.

I know Gemini did 2500pcs runs with their regular 1:400 models based off DiMA stats (now it just says Limited on newer models), so have they reduced production runs drastically overall?

I don't think they've done runs that big since the mid-2000's when all the other brands started coming on the scene. Maybe here and there for some known hot sellers.

Very rare for to see runs of over 600 units, unless of course it's a high demand model like Hekla or Delta CRJ...

Yes, I really hope everyone can go to Airliners 2022. I’m very hopeful to meet Todd, Andrew, and so many collectors. Saving up so I can buy whatever my heart desires at the event. So excited, let’s do this. 😎

At least the “bottomfeeders” make it to where a model doesn’t sell out within four hours of the announcement. Gives everybody time to order which is nice.

I think their concern overall is they want a model’s value to stay high by making less of it. Considering the American Eagle and Delta Connection CRJ-900s seemed to sell so well I’d thought they would’ve done more.
