Erm as a self-confessed Bananaramarite (say that after a few beers!) I'll have you know the Bananarama have always been on the go, was meant to see them last year until covid hit. Rescheduled for next year now.

Oh and this months offerings are a bit meh in my book

Was the Phoenix release last year not worth it? Just wondering your thoughts as I have the Phoenix but might consider replacing it if the JC version is superior. I got both versions of the JC 773 in the older orchid livery and pretty happy with them except the nose is slightly out.

Phoenix B772s used to be the standard many moons ago. Like you mentioned, the nose just doesn't look right and I can't quite place it, but I don't like the landing gears or the way the gear give it the Phoenix 777 "stance". But my biggest peeve is the super shiny look Phoenix gives to all their model's landing gear. Yes, I did buy the Phoenix version last year. But it took just a few months for me to unload it on eBay as I couldn't stand the way it looked.

I got JC's orchid livery B777-300 and I am very satisfied with how it portrays a 777. I'm expecting the same satisfaction with this new B772 version.

Now, I could wait many more years for AV400 to produce a B777-300 in the orchid livery (add an additional year for time between announcement and actual release ) and I will happily replace the JC with the AV400. But I think JC did a very good job.

Thanks for your thoughts. Will eventually get the JC version when funds allow, hopefully doesn't sell out any time soon 😬
The engines on both Phoenix and JC 777s seem to have improved greatly over the years. I hadn't really noticed the shiny landing gear on the Phoenix but I do think the shape of the nose and cockpit window placement could be improved on both versions. However, I can overlook these minor imperfections as this stunning livery has been applied very well.

Another recent set of annoucements with zero for me. They're making a 747-200 and they're doing a....Singapore-Garuda hybrid? Did they not sell all of the Singapore 200's? The Singapore was still the Gemini mould with terrible pylon-wing joints. Repair the frigging pylon joints, which look like a child's toy, and that serviceable mould can still be useful.
