Default Aeroclassics giving full throttle

https://www.aviationmegastore.com/bo...nfo&art=181096

52EUR for a 737-200!

I think people can expect maximum accuracy for that price....

Isn't that more of a store problem? The plane is clearly cheaper than that retail.

Possible. They also increase the shipping costs for each model you add by 12EUR. You pay !! 50EUR !! shipping costs within Europe - for 4 models

Their basic price for a 732 is 52EUR - 64EUR incl postage. The split-up my pre-order to four seperate orders so I am paying 50EUR postage instead of 12!

This EAL 722 is from Aviation-Center-Berlin. The pricing is similar, but they send your models for free when the value is 50EUR or higher.

I could live with the pricing (as we live in hard times), what I do not understand is, that they split the order up into four seperate ones....
50EUR postage instead of 12EUR - EXCUSE ****IN ME!!!! Surprisingly it also is the first time they did that.

well guys with shipping containers going up from 2500 to ELEVEN THOUSAND dollars/euros etc, all your little models will be going up 10-20% in a few months time!!!
Corgi have already announced 10% increase. and hobbymaster 15% in a couple of months time. others are bound to follow suit. and postage costs have also risen worldwide!

Russell also posted about this in another thread!

and this thread on MH3. from a major importer of military stuff!

We have just been informed by our shipping company of further increases in far east shipping

Prior to September 2020 a cost of a 20 foot container was all in about £2500

November container £5,000

January Container £6000

Our last 20 foot container cost ( landed at all in £7,000

We have just booked at Container to leave China in the next two weeks and that will cost us £11,000 with all charges.

At aviationmegastore AMS you pre-order and use the STORE option, you will be only charged 1 shipping charge ( storage is 1EUR per model ) .... Also they refund you the shipping charges if they send the 4 together ! They have a top notch customer service and reply instantly.. I am +20yr customer.. they only work with UPS !

As far I know AC is NOT shipping by SEA but by Courier and spend $$$$$ to get them in USA/EUR... Currently Courier companies charge tariffs + several covid surcharges .. Also space/routes are limited and cause big delays

I’m seeing NG models narrowbodies being listed for $80 AUD locally and it’s quite off putting. $90 for a wide body + shipping and it’s already a $100 order for one model :/

That's fairly standard for AU/NZ. Never buy new from domestic if you can buy a few together and ship from the US basically.

I used to get mine locally for around $70 once upon a time.

I get killed by shipping from the US even if I try buy a few together.

End of the day prices are only going in one direction

Not gonna be able to sustain this hobby for much longer!! If prices increase on an already expensive model, its just going beyond stupid now!! Again this will become another hobby for the rich only!

That is actually quite logical. If you pre-order four models, they will be delivered as soon as they become available. It is impossible for the retailer to predict whether or not these models will be delivered to them at the same time, hence they cannot know whether they will be able to ship all these models to you in one and the same parcel. I have experienced that they refunded me for overpayment of shipping costs because they were able to ship several pre-orders together, and I didn't ask for this refund. Just to say that I think they are very correct.

I wonder if AviationMegaStore allows you to put pre-orders in long term hold-and-store (I mean with that : more then two months), so you can say after three or four models became available, "ok ship all the stuff now"...

Indeed. I have exactly the same experience.
They became my default supplier only for that reason alone.

Back in the day, circa 2008, I remember buying Aeroclassics wide-bodies for $45 local. My ANZ DC-10 and CI A300 still have their pricetags on them.
Good times!

49EUR at ARD. So it seems like it isn't a one-hit-wonder.

Thank goodness my collection has just about reached saturation point, not many classics left to fill gaps. The price increases are killing this hobby!
