I would have had both if ARD had been sent some but not paying US shipping charges + our 20% customs import charge– a poor decision by Andrew, so all we get are a load of hybrid 737s sent to his European dealers that few will buy! If he wants to do some 737-200s, then do some that have been requested like British Airways Landor scheme with ‘Birmingham’ and ‘Manchester’ roof titles.
I will get the Air Nauru 727 and the Canadian Electra, which sparks an interest in me as I thought only El Aviador were using this mould? If Andrew has more coming, let’s have Air Ceylon, Falcon Cargo, Channel Express, Fred Olsen, Hunting Cargo and another couple of VARIGs, polished belly and later grey belly.

New-gen Aeroclassics 727-100's seem to have poor cradle fit. Older ones I can see from my computer have much closer, better cradle fit.
I have the United Saul Bass 727-100 that was released last August, and it has a much better cradle fit.
Even the ATA 727-100 that I got in February has a better cradle fit..not great, but much better than the one in the photo

The one in the photo obviously just wasn't pushed in all the way.
Product photography in this business never ceases to amaze me.
I don't think that is it. On some of the recent releases there really has been quite a large gap and it seems the casting of the wing portions has just been poorly done so it no longer fits the fuselage properly.
It isn't an issue with all the series 100s but it has been especially poor with some.

The mould probably wearing out then?
Well, almost two decades ago I already suggested to melt this mould in and do a better one. I always wanted to add a few 721s to the collection, but other than a few DW/JX I got nothing so far.
Excellent releases this month. Ordered the B721's and L188 Electra. Love all the B732's, thought I might buy them all, but they just don't fit my collection criteria.
What’s surprised me more is the cost. $45 for a 727 with horrible wing joint- AC has got to be kidding. Pricing is now up with NG models and the detail is no where near as good- ageing moulds and average print quality.
And this is coming from someone who’s got at least 500 Aeroclassics models in the collection.

Re: Aeroclassics July releases
You can blame the price increase on the current irresponsible US government, for printing so much money that it's becoming worthless!!
The USD has devalued well over 10% against the China RMB, so, since we are an American company paying in USD, we have to pay more!! Basic economics!!
Those bottomfeeders you dare to compare us to above, are Chinese companies, paying in local currency; what's their excuse!!
If you look at the current AC release list, you see a lot of models NEVER thought to be done before. The bottomfeeders present you with more Deja Vu, and repetition & redundancy!

Couldn't agree more. Here the A319's from previous month are €47 / $56!! What the hell?? That's as expensive as a Gemini 747...

Of all the things to be wrong about, I had no clue that it would be economics Andrew! Good for you

Is there any reason why we can't select standard USPS shipping anymore to Australia? I had to pay $50USD for priority shipping from ACdirect which was more than the cost of the model. I could use the service 2 months ago.

Ah, I see…! Following the recent excuse - the risen freight rates - it now is your non-favorite Biden government which makes you taking more money for less quality. Understood.

Good question. I have noted same, and stopped buying from Aeroclassicsdirect as a result. Jet Collector still have the $26-29 USPS Int'l shipping, so i buy there instead, but would love to know why this is not available at the Aeroclassicsdirect site.....
The Aeroclassics price increase in Europe dates back to way before Biden was elected. An Aeroclassics model costs as much as an NG Model over here. Only Gemini Jets and JC Wings are still in the 35-45 EUR price range.
And of all these manufacturers only AC are hard to come by.

The USD has been in decline against the RMB since May of 2020. Anyone can Google this. Explain that.
Agreed, this month's AC release list includes stuff NEVER thought to be done before. Another way to say that would be that this month's releases includes models that no one ever wished would be done.

Exactly, why do all those hybrid 737s just because it's easy to change the printing ? Lots of major flag carriers schemes still not done on the 737-200 mould.

Would you consider ordering from an Aussie dealer as the postage might be much cheaper but the model might be a touch more expensive?

Too many people were impatient with the cheaper shipping methods, as is it's our fault, and we lost too many claims made thru Paypal about the slow shipping. Since we are not responsible for the post office's actions, or inactions, and since we can not waste time and be aggravated by such claims, (we go through enough headaches on the inbound shipping), we just eliminated the option.
Speaking of the inbound aggravations, the shipment showed up less that two hours before announcement time. Photos were rushed to have them up. We did not put the models under a microscope before photographing them. Of course, people will complain no matter what we do which is why I rarely post here any more.

Harvey, if you don't like what we produce, then don't buy it. Nobody's got a gun to your head to buy anything.
The fact that these models all sold out tells me that collectors actually wanted them!!
To all those who actually buy our models, a humble THANK-YOU!!

I ordered from AeroclassicsDirect a couple of months ago. The parcel took two months to arrive but although it didn’t look good at times (no movement for more than one month), it eventually arrived. Of course I didn‘t get in touch with Paypal because I trusted Andrew that it would work out eventually.
Now this option is gone, which means I have to depend on European retailers, which have failed me more than once.
Quo vadis, Aeroclassics?

I was gonna order from CAMAUST but I panicked when I saw 'low quantity' under the Air Nauru, I messaged Tom and waited a few hours for a reply so I decided to not risk it and just ordered it from AC direct.
And about 30 mins later he responded.
I ordered the MH/Sabena and aviogenex 732's from him, hopefully we will see a Aviogenex 72 in the near future!

Yes, lucky you! If no one requests a specific model, then it's a lottery if any non-requsted models are made and sold out. Surely better to make those that have many requests for a sure-fire sell out?

My dad was really happy when he saw that Ukrainian International one. Bought one right away. Any chance we will see the standard livery on one in the future?
Sold out at distribution level or retailer level? I vaguely remember in the past retailers having to buy a certain number of releases every month to be able to continue selling the product under the authoritarian distribution method!
the cradle looks awful on this one, fair warning to those who want it. hope it's just this specific piece and not the entire production run
That is one GAWD awful gap! Skybusters have better fitment than this piece!

Andrew, why did you gloss out the main issue, which is the 727's abysmal wing join? People are upset because they're paying that much in conjunction with the other, in my opinion larger problem at hand.

Don't need to tell me not to buy anything. It's already July and I haven't bought an AeroClassics in 2021 yet. Wish that wasn't the case.
All sold out? This month's releases are still pretty available, even at AC Direct. Cruzeiros are all gone for sure. And THAT, is what you get when you release stuff people actually ask for.
The Canadian L-188 actually piqued my interest until I Googled photos of the actual aircraft to find out more about it. Every photo I've seen tells me that there is something obvious missing from the model, but I'm not going to say it's inaccurate because I don't know anything about this aircraft and you'll probably produce a photo of the aircraft without the thing attached.
Harvey

Sadly, I passed on everything this month. I was only interested in the three 727-100's. Even with reasonable shipping cost, the total cost was just too high for models that are on the edge of my collecting criteria and for which I have representatives (I have Air Nauru and Cruziero represented). Prices need to drop some, sorry.
But for our LatAm fans out there, two terrific models.

50 EUR plus shipping are simply too much for any 1/400 scale model…even if it could fly.
