The A330 OY-XXX must be a Sunclass or Thomas Cook. But most likely a Sunclass, since NG made an A321 earlier

Looks like these could be some rather interesting releases. For sure another Iran Air 747SP, some Chinese airline like CAAC or Mandarin or something of that sort, then possibly DL/NWA for the 330, as well as maybe Sunclass, TCX, or another SAS, and then a Saudia too.

The Tristars interest me the most out of the bunch, looks like we're getting a Cathay and then maybe a PSA, or if we're incredibly lucky, the L1011 House Colors.

Another rubbish month it is. It seems like NG has fallen out of love with us modern European collectors lately, even Gemini is releasing more Euro stuff!

It's a shame, we all had so much hope when NG first appeared, remember the 5 Jet2 737s they released? Or the Wizzair A321s? Now it's all about modern US stuff, which if I'm honest I couldn't find more boring and bland. Come on NG!!! 😞

People moan to feel special. Did see some positive comments about Gemini, wonder if we’ll see the pro-Gemini individuals in here to thank them for their service.

Have the problems with the B747SP mould been resolved? I remember some thread mentioning various problems with the B747SP to such an extent that some Iran Air models were stopped from production pending retooling of the mould.

It wasn't due to retooling of the mould or issues with it. There has been some criticism of the accuracy of some elements whilst almost everyone, including those criticising, say it is still the best 747 ever made in 400 scale.

The issues with the first batch of Iranian SPs was merely QC related so NG held back some of the models as they weren't up to their quality standards. They said that replacements will be forthcoming and it is possible this EP- release is a rerun rather than a new model, then again it may be a different scheme.

Hopefully the EP- is EP-IAC, the last -SP in commercial pax service.
Would be cool if NG could make a note of this on the box.

That's what I'm hoping it is. I have one of those QC-defective Iran Air 747SP's and eagerly await my replacement.

If the B- is Mandarin, it'll be a good replacement for my older-gen Gemini.

I have two of the nice JC Cathay L-1011s but would add an NG in a heartbeat!

N6xxxx could finally be a Delta B757-200 in the 1990s Ron Allen livery.

N8xxxx would be nice if it's a NWA A330-200.

Fairly positive that the N tail Tristar is going to be Kalitta, which is disappointing since I had thought it would have been PSA or the House livery. That being said, I'm not going to sit and moan about it incessantly because there are other good releases here.

Inside info or just a guess?

NG had asked for details on the PSA a while ago.

You're correct Richard... looking for an ATA Tristar 1. Didn't know they didn't sell well, that's a shame...looking to replace my Gemini. Another possibility could be a TWA twin globe scheme... perhaps N11004? This would be great ONLY if they get the bare metal finish resolved on their L-1011's

Well it's my personal opinion but Kalitta is an unimportant operator of the type when there are a slew of other Tristars far more representative of the type's history that are lining up to be made. In fact aside from some of those barely airline Middle-Eastern fly by night operations I can't think of a Tristar I'm less interested in acquiring, as it's semi-modern and a freighter, and this is coming from someone who would buy 95% of all L-1011s made.

Make a Kalitta L-1011 by all means but before house colours, PSA, BA Landor, Eastern (4 schemes), TWA Twin Globe and last clrs, Air Canada (first 2 schemes), etc etc etc etc really...

It's not like NG are using the Tristar mould often. We get 1 or 2 models every 2 or 3 months. The Lockness mould may be less than great but at least Aeroclassics know how to use a mould effectively.

The same goes for these modern 757 freighters when there are tens of more iconic 757 schemes left undone.

But like I said it's my opinion and I understand others may be dying to add a Raya Airways 757 or Kalitta L-1011 to their collections.

I agree with Richard that NG’s use of their excellent Tristar and 757 moulds is a bit underwhelming nowadays.

I‘d say: Back to the roots…classic operators from the 1970s and 1980s is what we need and what NG provided us with in the beginning.

On the bright side. The VR- reg is for sure something of interest since they are finally doing Cathay (or Dragonair I guess, but it seems weird to do Dragonair first)

The choice for the Iran Air livery is perfect. I will order at least three for my own collection.

PLEASE NG MODELS, I HOPE YOU MAKE THE BLUE COLOUR ACCURATE. It was too dark in your earlier release.

They could've at least picked a different rego for the Connie as the GJ version.
Or a different livery, N104CK in the BA landor hybrid c/s would've been interesting, or maybe this one:

Maybe just the China Airlines SP for me.

Looks like three for me. Iran Air and China Airlines 747SP's, and Dragonair L-1011. The China Airlines SP can replace my old-gen Gemini.

NG, please listen to Retro-Models above. The first Iran Air SP blue was *too dark.* Please lighten up the blue on this one.

Still want to see my replacement for the first NG Iran Air SP that had the paint blotching on the upper fuselage!

I suspect that Freedom One will be a hot seller. NG, please make enough of them!

Jim
