Default Singapore Airlines Fleet

Here's my updated SQ fleet with the new Aeroclassics 707 added. Also in attendance are Aeroclassics (A300, A310x2, 727), Gemini Jets (Concorde), HYJLwings (757x2), Dragon 747-200 & Witty Wings 747-300, plus a pair of Aeroclassics MSA beauties.

Singapore is another airline I never actually intended getting a fleet of but somehow this lot has accumulated over the years. Of the 1970/80s SQ proper fleet I think I'm just missing the DC-10. I did however resist getting the MSA 737-100 at the latest Waffle sale!

Didn’t go for the recent JC Wings B.747-212B? It is a very sharp model with very nice detailing. Colours are excellent and match the earlier 2005 Aeroclassics releases very well. Nice that this subject is 9V-SIA, the 1st 747 delivered to the new airline in 1973, which hasn’t been done before, although it carries the “California Here We Come” titles which sets it to 1978/79.

Aeroclassics 9V-SQP on the left, JC 9V-SIA on the right. The top edges of the H-stabs are painted white on -SIA. Both are on that good old BB400 mould, of course 😉

Great looking fleet! A classy, elegant livery in either 70's-80's or 90's-present variations.

I actually do have an SQ A380 but it lives on the Xin Long model airport as it doesn't fit with my collection criteria.

I had contemplated getting the new JC Wings 747-200 but in the end I decided I was happy enough with the Dragon Wings version I already had.

Amazing really. I can remember days where that model would sit on Waffle's Collection Sale page for weeks. Under-appreciated usually. Now it sells in minutes and for more than double what he used to have it listed for. My how the times in 1/400 have changed.

That’s fair enough. A nice little collection you have there anyway ✈️👍

All I have right now. I have the AV 400 777-300ER on order though.

My then girlfriend and now wife arrived into Auckland on the real 1000th 747 Singapore airlines jet in 1999

I should probably get that model myself as 9V-SMU was the aircraft that delivered me to Auckland in June 2005 when I emigrated to NZ.

Beautiful photos. This last one of the A350 looks so good it has earned the manufacturer a sale. I'm assuming it is the AV400 release? (I see a jewelled beacon.)

I also have flown on that one. I have the Dragon - Waffle had one listed in today’s collection sale as well.
