Default Creating a Runway Diorama

I've been enjoying the backdrop photo thread and it has been on my mind for a while to create a space where I could do something similar. So over a few days a week or two ago I put together my own runway diorama which can be used with different backdrops in the future. Check out this post to see how easy it is. A big shout out to Steinar Arnason for inspiring me on this project.

There was another Toy and Model fair at the weekend, which allowed me to acquire a further 3 models to add to the NZ fleet. First up is this lovely Dragon 747-419 in the Pacific Wave scheme. The model is one of the first 400 scale releases dating from 1999 but still looks magnificent in 2021:

Dragon Wings did produce some beauties in its day. Nice work on the diorama.

DWs 744 still is the best option concerning overall shape. Imagine this with up to date printing and gears.

Cheers guys. The other two models I picked up at the weekend were the Mount Cook 'All Blacks' ATR-72 ZK-MVA and Air New Zealand 737-300 ZK-FRE.

Looks great!
Nice find on those 2 rare models, it's amazing where you can come across these, 99% of the time, you come across them when you're not looking for them.

Richard,

This Dragon 747 looks stunning indeed. Shockingly, I have found the exact same model on eBay for only US $22 plus shipping. Comes with a belt loader too.

Thanks for sharing!
