Default What will the next "must have model" be?

We've seen the frenzy for the Icelandic 1/400 Hekla Aurora 757, then the 2nd release of Delta CRJ-900 and now the American Eagle CRJ-900. What will be the next model that sees this buying phenomena? My bet will be the United Star Wars 737. What's your guess?

Well the Delta CRJ-900 is still a model I’d like to have for me as I canceled my order from the last one with its horizontal stabilizer and landing gear issues. Maybe next time they can release it with an Endeavor registration - the largest operator of the type for Delta. I’m sure a Delta CRJ-900 would sell rapidly in 1:200 too.

I think a jetBlue A220 will be the next big hit. Also, probably an Avelo 737 or Breeze E190, as much as I despise the pay rates and some of management’s attitude at those airlines.

I think southwest will always be a popular release.

For new releases, Avelo. (At least for me. I really like avelo)

I guess its about where you come from as those CR9 are as interesting for me as an NFD ATR42 would be for others.

My next “must haves” are the Delta E175 with the enhanced winglets, and a rerelease of the American Eagle CRJ-700. Would also like to see a Northwest 747-400 with the delivery paint scheme; Gemini did it in 200 scale so I would hope a 400 scale release will happen soon.

Thank you Gemini for the Delta, United and American CRJs!

I take it the question is about what is the next must-have in terms of what will sell best, not what our personal must-haves are. Sorry, TU-114 lovers....

Avelo 737-800 and Breeze seem like likely candidates to me. Whether someone does an EMB-195-2 mould, or it waits for Breeze to have an A220, I'd guess Breeze will be an in-demand model.

You can't get the entire stock. A few for me as well.

Add to that a decent 707-320/420 (incl. short tails)!

Touche' - the ATR42 may be a wonderful airplane - I have never enjoyed the experience. But damn, from my humble perspective, that is one pug-ugly airplane, and I can't bring myself to introduce one to my collection. We Yanks shoot from the hip, Doug

In my opinion with a good livery they don’t look to bad. Here are a couple, a UK and Canadian based airlines.

Well Jim, I think the Tu-114 covers both aspects of the question going by the 'likes'. Even Andrew has ticked that, yet still fails to make it. He told me years ago that he was going to do a Tu-114 with the cheaper 'spincast' method of tooling, but still we don't have one in 1/400!

My List:

United Star Wars 737

An NG Delta and American Eagle CRJ-900 (though I doubt they'd make it)

Breeze e195, Avelo 737

All Star Wars Re-releases and some LOTR models will do well
