Default Gemini Jets - Talk to us

Gemini Jets excels in 1/400 small diecast models of regional jets, (see attached image) but not always. What happened with the GJDAL1965 Delta Connection CRJ-900? It seems that it wasn't some lethargic dude showing up with 'A Case of the Mondays', but a system wide fault that extended to all releases. Do I have that right? Did New Generation Models and Panda Models siphon off all the best employees, or is the general level of competence slipping within the industry China wide? We causal 1/400 diecast airliner aficionados maybe clueless, but something ain't right... Doug

Yes, you have that right. The main landing gear had been installed incorrectly and the horizontal stabilizers are pointing down instead of up. It’s real unfortunate because this was highly requested. I would hate for the American Eagle CRJ-900 to have the same issues...

Again this problem is not new - quality control issues have plagued GJ for a while. Here’s a photo I took from 2017 of two faulty Air Canada CRJ-900s next to a properly produced US Airways CRJ-700.

Thought the stabs are supposed to point down. Saw photos of the model with stabs pointed up, which definitely doesn't look right.

You’re right, I had it the other way around.

If this happened twenty years back, then its a case of 'oh okay!!!', but NOW in this advanced era of diecast manufacturing which has raised the bar very significantly, I just say this and it's pure and simple...it's a POOR show and really unforgiveable!! And even more so considering how much these models cost us now!!!
