Default Panda Models - May Announcements 737-400s/Tu-134s

They may be bottomfeeders to some but Panda Models can whack out a really decent 400 scale model and the grapevine just informed me that their next four upcoming models are real crackers. Finally we get some decent use of the new 737-400 and more Tu-134s. Check them out here:

Pretty keen for the House Colours 737-400. Like Government aircraft, these house colour types seem to have been a relatively untouched market until recently.

I've got my fingers crossed that Panda will one day release a Qantas 737-400... In both 1990's/2007 liveries.
Still can"t believe no-one has released one of these in 400, it's a massive hole in my QF fleet, and pretty much 100% will sell well as all Qantas stuff does.

Production on the TU-134's is finally starting to speed up, hopefully it continues without issues! Looking forward to at least 5 of these.

Best news I've heard in quite a while! The Tupi's are absolute must haves for me.
The question is, will I be able to stop at just one of each? Awesome!
I'm gonna sit over here in the corner, bein' happy...

Totally agree about the need for a QF 734, the 90s livery would be one for me.
On a similar note (of national bias), British airlines I would like to see would be BA Landor, Dan Air and Britannia. Great to see the Boeing house livery though 👌

Air Berlin, Hapag-Lloyd, Braathens (delivery) and Olympic ("rainbow") is what we really need.

And of course a pair of Tu-134A in colors of Interflug and LSK/LV.

I will be after the standard Aeroflot Tupi and the Piedmont. I was able to gather all three of the original 134s, I'm glad they are ready to get that mould cranking once again.

Would love it if they released a B737-400 in BA landor,Dan air or British Midland livery. Of course there's many others to choose from too.
Would love them to produce G-DOCB in Cranfield university livery (as I see G-DOCB a lot) but I know that's too niche and unlikely to happen.

The TU134 in any livery is always welcome too!

I'll certainly be picking up the regular Aeroflot Tu-134. Great release.

I also hope to see some missing British B734s such as British Midland, Dan Air, Air Europe BA Landor and Air UK Leisure.

If the B734 uses the same tail as the B733 mould, which I also believe was the same one used by Aeroclassics a few years ago, I still think it is the wrong shape and needs work. For me the tail is too broad and needs to be narrower.

I have the first Aeroflot Ty-134 they released, and I was far from impressed, especially with the landing gear. The model did arrive in pieces, and it's on my "return to China" stack, where I will get my factory to properly finish it!

I'm sure when the Soviet Aeroflot version arrives, it will join the same stack! Those will be my only two!

You must be the only one then... Hmmm, it’s interesting how your Gjs come in supposedly one piece (when most don’t) and the panda’s who never come in pieces, came broken for you... Because why would you even buy a Bottomfeeder’s model? Aren’t they criminals and enemy number one for you? Hmmm...

Anyway, nice releases for panda.

You're getting confused. It is Aviation400 that add the navigation beacons not Panda.

Yes, I fell asleep. I probably got tired of all the licensing issue discussions and how bad Panda and NG actually are, I was only focusing on the initial demonstrator release. Sorry about that.

In addition, I would like to throw in another famous 737-400 operator: British Midland!

What's the difference between the 737-300 and 737-400? Deciding whether I should get the Piedmont as I have the Aeroclassics 737-300 polished.

I like the Panda models I've owned in the past. Their Boeing 100th Anniversary Fire Trucks and other GSE were great!

...thanks! So probably not too noticeable length wise in this scale and have to decide if overwing exits doors are enough to spend $55 with shipping (also the vertical stab "737-400" printing). Ahhh maybe...after all its Piedmont, not that I'm into 1:400 toys these days since switching to 1:200 years ago. I have the Phoenix 1:200 version that is nice (I guess my dumb a$$ could have looked at it to see the difference).

Default Re: Panda Models - May Announcements 737-400s/Tu-1

Great to see more TU-134's Aeroflot standard scheme is a must......i noticed that both Aviation Megastore and Airspotters only seem to have the 'Olympic titles' version up for pre-order and not the standard scheme.... i wonder if the standard scheme is already pre-sold out at a number of retailers?

Anyway, great to see these, and hope for many more Eastern Bloc carriers to come.

Really hoping the 737-400 gets a run out on UK 1990's operators as may have listed above already

Great stuff Panda....

Not the best quality but chrome is very hard to focus. I can also take pics of other angles if anybody else wants to see as well.

Any idea when these are shipping to pre-order customers in the USA? I ordered both of these plus an Aeroflot TU-134.

A giant hole in 1/400 is the Boeing 737 prototype. The closest anybody came was the Sovereign Lufthansa 737-100 'Experimental' which I believe to have the correct short nacelle engines... Wouldn't this one sell? Over, Doug

We got ours yesterday, so I would assume most US retailers are getting it very soon. The Tupolev's are not ready, just these two 737-400's are. The TU-134's will come with reproduction of the 3 Air Koryo ones as well.

Pardon my ignorance, not trying to open a can of worms...
but that vertical tail on the Panda looks as off as it does on the Aeroclassics 733 etc. Pure coincidence?
Never noticed until now.

Aeroclassics used their 737-300 mould a couple of years ago.

I thought the entire tail was made of composite material starting with the 737-300...no bare metal like it's showing on the model....I could be wrong... I usually am...

This is disappointing news. I was looking forward to the next Aeroflot TU-134 and all those European ones but not anymore.

I got my box, opened my brand new Panda TU-134's, but when the clock struck midnight they turned back into Gemini 737-700's, all sitting on their tails. Very disappointed and will not buy Panda from the fairy godmother diecast store ever again!

Disappointing, but I can wait, anyone who collects Soviet metal knows how to wait.

Hang on, a second production run of the three Air Koryos? What was the third one??

Do you realize he’s lying because he hates panda right? Read his description…

Is the factory planning to take a car jack to the wing join?

You must be the only one then, as everyone seems pretty happy with them, including me. I'm sure your comments are just biast, associated with your views on Panda as 'thieves' and 'bottomfeeders'?

My Piedmont just arrived. New mould is outstanding…and colors are spot on. Actually makes the Aeroclassics look much to dark.
