Those B737s look so good!
NG, I'm afraid you misprinted the instruments below the cockpit windows on the SU A359. Those were removed on newer versions of the A350s. Actually, VP-BXD does not have those instruments as the first A350s built have.

In regards to the Aeroflot 350's wings, stabs and pylons, I quote myself:

Strange to see a variety of greys and whites on model 350s.

I really thought NG would listen. Not so apparently.

Winton is correct. There is no 's'.

Look at the photos in the link. Particularly the third one.

You're right. I've just learnt something. Just checked and there's indeed another town in the very same state of QLD - Winton In the Shire of Winton. 441 Km from Mount Isa. Bet that's caused some confusion before! Great, all 100% correct then That's a fabulous site, btw. Thanks for the link.

No Photoshop, I just added more contrast. I actually did it for myself as the lightning on the NG pics always seemed to be a little too intense.

I am glad to see NG have increased the size of the cockpit window print on the A350. It looks much better now.

Yes, Airbus removed the SSA probes starting somewhere around MSN 300 it seems. https://aviation.stackexchange.com/q...-on-their-nose

A little acetone will probably be able to take care of that

Increasing the size of the cockpit windows solved part of the issue, but I still think they were placed too low. Hopefully, future releases can get it right.

Not using photoshop probably didn't help.
Just out of interest, which photo tool do you use that creates such bad halos and stuff when you "just" play with contrast values?

Thankfully in this case this minor issue is easily fixable by the collector! A small wipe with a magic eraser r a q tip with acetone will do the trick

I wish the same could be said for the wings.

Btw, I wouldn't want to use a q-tip or anything similarily big in this area.

I was thinking of the micro Q-Tips that I use for repairing electronics, should have specified. Yes, do not use a regular Q tip for this!

Thanks for your tips!
I've never done this to any of my models, so I'm totally clueless if this will melt and remove the white paint as well (even though a tiny amount of acetone is used).

EASY with the acetone. Acetone, like superglue, can do terminal damage to finishes quickly. Pictured are some plastic polishes that are used to renew a clear glazed surface on 1:1 aircraft plexiglass canopies, and are much more controllable and work incrementally - not with a splash. The number 2 scratch remover also works well to tease off fine tampo printed details from the painted or bare metal surfaces of diecast airliners. The hobbyist micro Q-tips ('Microbrush') help work in tight areas. Keep 'em flying, Doug

Thanks Doug!
Those look kinda safer than using acetone. I'd prefer to test all of those suggested options first. If I decide to get the SU A359, I'd rather leave it like that.

Models - unless polished - have a base coat that is much harder to remove. The rest is printed on and goes off easily with acetone. Figure out what the base coat is and you're rather save to remove details from it. But don't soak it in acetone as some could develop bubbles etc.
Usually the base is the major color used on that part, white in this case.

Also have Microbrushes, but in such cases I'd recommend to take a paper tissue, fold it, tip in acetone and use its edges to remove such tiny detail in several runs.

But be careful, the fumes of acetone stand alone can damage paints.

Any reason why? I assume its to improve aerodynamic efficiency?
Backup systems are always nice.
Pa28's i fly only have one, better hope an insect doesn't fly into it.

They were on there to gather the relevant data initially, but proven unnecessary for the daily business. The early ones get their SSA probes removed over time too. Savey weight and maint complexity.
