Default Sud Aviation SE-210 Caravelle Mould Review

With news that the Caravelle is soon to be back in 400 scale, after not being used since 2015, it seems a good moment to refresh the mould review and look at what has been made and what can be made of the various different Caravelle versions using the existing mould:

This will be interesting to see. Aeroclassics has several moulds which utilise P&W JT8D engines, surely it wouldn't be too hard to utilise these to make more accurate -10B/R and -11 models. A modified cockpit printing pad would be the icing on the cake. Not bad for a mould that is approaching 20!

I love the Aeroclassics Caravelles and have every one made.
Hope we will see the final SABENA livery, Air Algerie and Libyan Arab Airlines among my holy grails.

Only have a handful of these, there’s not many I’m after but an example in the final Luxair livery would be nice.

Interesting that the nose gear length on the TU-154 is important, or the shade of red on Nortwest or for that matter the micrometer size diff on A350 cockpit windows some see.

Nobody can see that the nose on the Caravelle mould looks like an Eggplane.

I don't actually have major issues with the shape. The Caravelle does look like an eggplane. I would agree that the cockpit printing of Aeroclassics Caravelles isn't great even for the ones that they have the right template for.

It's all academic anyway. Aeroclassics isn't likely to change anything and nobody else is going to make a 400 scale Caravelle.
