Guys, was wondering what happened to this months Aeroclassics?

Any hints on what we are getting and when?

Sorry, I’m not on the other forum so don’t know what’s going on.

Thanks

Delayed due to shipping problems from Asia. Perhaps a announcement late this week.

There seem to be delays, but a mention about possibly this week. If you're into JAL DC-8s, two releases of the -61s (JA8048 and JA8061) are popping up on eBay in recent days. Too beautiful to pass up, I got a pair.

Strangely, both those reg#s were involved in mishaps. Pilot for one of them did it deliberately and found not guilty due to insanity!! Quite the wild series of events for JA8061: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Airlines_Flight_350

Any non-classic releases (i.e. airline liveries from after 2000) to shake it up a little bit?

Well, I guess it should be a fortunate continuous break for me waiting my 767 Holy Grail since I have recently spent a lot in earlier releases from AC and other brands.
But who knows if another type model manages to capture my attention. I certainly hope not. For the sake of my wallet, I will be fine if this becomes the fourth month in a row where I am not urged to buy a newly released AC model. Tempted, yes, but not urged. I have been concentrating on past releases.

This is the only set that I see right now on eBay. They seem to pop up occasionally on eBay.

The Caravelles have also made a comeback. Interesting times! But that BCAL 747 was completely out of the left field...never saw that one coming. G-GLYN can join Gemini's G-HUGE. They didn't have GLYN for long. '86 - '88 then absorbed into the BA fleet. It was a Wardair machine originally. I think this one has a polished belly, too.

Both the pax VASP 727 and the BCal 747 have sold out already at the acdirect site.

Looking forward to more Caravelles in the future.

I flew on that exact BCAL 747 to Hong Kong back in the 1990s, so it had to be made!!
A large portion of the shipment, which caused the delayed announcement, is still missing, so quantities on the AC website are severely reduced, and will sell out tonight, until the rest of the shipment can be found.

A large portion of the shipment, which caused the delayed announcement, is still missing, so quantities on the AC website are severely reduced, and will sell out tonight, until the rest of the shipment can be found.
Hopefully it gets found!

Any more spare parts offerings planned?

Just as I asked CAMAUST for spare parts for an injured 727 they come in abundance.

What a fantastic memory, swooping into Kai Tak on that classic heavy back in the day. Nice one! Perhaps a nice follow-up would be one in the Landor c/s? 😮✈️ An unusual 747 for the BA fleet, a -211B with GE power. Really hope that the rest of the shipment will be recovered - now I see why you had 1 model per person. Lots of collectors will be wanting these for sure, a really cracking line-up this month.

Some spare 747 gears would come in handy too!!

Exactly - was thinking just that! Both 70s CAPITAL titles & 80s lower case. Ideally with polished bellies ✈️👍

Those two Iberias are MINE! I hope AC doesn’t mess up the cockpit windows in the 757 this time though, pics of it haven’t been released yet I think.

While I'm not interested in anything 727 from AC, just out of curiosity..
With the past talks about a bare bellied Canada 727, I'd have expected that one to be released.
C-GYNM that was though. I take it its a typo in the release chart as I can't find a GYMN.

Iberia Caravelle is a 6R but has wrong cockpit windows. Should also have been bare metal belly.
