Playing catch-up after the Chinese New Year, NG Model have just sent the following set of photographs from their February 2021 1:400 release. Note that 07007 American Airlines Boeing 747-SP N601AA has been delayed to the April 2021 release. Models will be shipping to retailers shortly.
I understand as with last year, the next scheduled release will be April 2021, the "hints" will follow shortly.
The latest release includes the delayed three Chinese Boeing 738's.

Agreed, it is too high. This has been an issue since the initial Sands release and brought to NG's attention countless times. Not sure why/how this hasn't been addressed yet.

The more I'm looking at their SPs the more I get the impression that it's not the too high cheatline but a too low nose cone. There's definitely something off with the nose. Initially didn't see it on the sample but it's definifely irritating my eyes every time I'm looking at my NG SPs.
Re: NG Model 1:400 February 2021 Release Photograp
I have both the Gulf Air and Pan Am on order. The Gulf Air looks excellent. As for the Pan Am, if its as good as the Sth African release then I will be more than happy..

I recall someone pointing out the windows/cheatline on the NG A330 being a tad too high, perhaps it's still an issue and throwing off the location of the titles?

looking at the pictures now It's become very obvious to me that the culprit isn't the windowline, they are at the correct location. The issue is the blue cheatline curves slightly upwards at the end which results in the appearance of the entire line being too high. This is clear in the 5th picture

The cheatline is about right--maybe just a touch high, but about right. The nose cone is the problem: it is definitely low, and needs to be reshaped higher. See how the slope down from the cockpit is too steep. Compare with this photo of a PA 747SP.
I have the model on order and will get it, but NG needs to get this problem corrected.

Alex, just put their 747SP next to the competition and you will easily cherish it.

NG’s newest releases are comical. You can tel they are rushed to the market!
I remember the bozo at the Gatwick airline show with a printed piece of paper showing why NG models are better than Gemini Jets. Now that was comical!

That Pan Am looks stunning! However, I agree that the window line/nose area needs some improvement.

I also noticed something "different" in the nose area. The XiamenAir and AirChina look fine though. It's either a printing difference, a modified mould, or an optical illusion produced by the liveries

I couldn't agree more. It's not just the titles however, the entire window line seems too high, pushing the title, as you said, all the way up on the roof. Pitty, I was really look forward to this one!

I definitely agree with that as well, but the window line is also too high. I was looking at pictures of real pictures vs the model and the window line sits too high above the fuselage-wing join.
I would have hoped by now after all the feedback at least one of these two issues be addressed. NG are definitely selling great models, but they are certainly not the second coming in the hobby.
Re: NG Model 1:400 February 2021 Release Photograp
None of these are in my collecting criteria but the American 737s particularly look superb. The A330 windowline is definitely too high though, shows up worst on the Garuda but I think on the French AF example too. I'd agree the SP cheatline looks like it curves up in the photo?

Re: NG Model 1:400 February 2021 Release Photograp
The biggest disappointment to me(besides the high printing on the Garuda A330) is the sticker seam shown in the third picture of the Air Lanka L-1011. I have the AC version and it's quite frankly, far more messy than this one is in the printing category, but I was hoping for better. The 737-800 besides the Xiamen look a bit suspect to me as well. Hopefully these aren't good examples of the over all batch quality and the New Year hangover is past by next month.

While most have found issues with the PA 74L, GA 330, & AA 738s, I'll chime in on the Gulf Air L-1011. The window line is printed too high, along with the doors.
Agree with the comical/joke responses as well, however what gets me, is calling these "February releases when we're within 24 hours from the month of April.

You're just embarrassing yourself.
In regards to the criticisms above although they are mainly valid (aside from GeminiMD11 who has obviously got some issues) the level of inspection of the photos I see about NG releases is getting a little OTT even for me. I don't see any such hyper-criticism of the releases from other brands (it'd be entertaining to see that though) and I am concerned that piling on like this is going to deter NG from being as open as they have been.
NG are not the second coming for sure but their models are clearly better than the competition by some distance. They are unlikely to get everything right all the time and constantly asking them to modify moulds that are already substantially superior to anything anyone else has ever made in 400 scale for the same types (747SP, 737-800 etc) seems a little unrealistic.

Sorry Richard, but the AC Gulf Air L-1011 puts the NG one to shame. While a few of the early AC L-1011s may have had minor issues, they were all addressed, and the AC L-1011 is an excellent model.

weren't you the one whining about "taking all the fun out of this hobby" with this extremely detailed criticism thing, it seems kind of ironic.

You know I love your models, and own 1231 of them, BUT only 1 of those is an L-1011. Sometimes your commentary seems to come from another universe.
Here are the Lochness and NG Gulf releases compared. I am happy to let the photo do the talking.
Incidentally the rear windowline looks to be the same height on both - it's just the angle of the photos is different.
