Default New Mould Announcements Coming Soon

Moving onto lighter news than the license rubbish. I am fortunate to have good relations with most of the manufacturers and over the years that has sometimes allowed me to get exclusive news on what's coming up. Already this year I've been able to announce NG's 737s and the AV400 787s. I am very pleased to be able to see that continue and so over the coming weeks I'm proud to be able to announce more new moulds in 400 scale.

Today I received a box from NG with two new samples in and next week I can announce another new mould from Aviation400.

Follow me on my Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/YesterAirlines), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/yesterairlines/) and Youtube channels (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo4...n30lsxXJ3UTy_A) so you don't miss anything.

Cheers.

I love aviation400 and these new moulds are great but is there any danger in speeding up production?

Hmmm... NG has made an A319 and A320 mold. Boom.
They did a 737-600, -700 and -900 so doing its rival would probably make sense.

On second thought; if it’s retro, 737 Classic? There’s three options (3, 4, 5) so I’d think the 3 and 4 would get made, as the 5 is close to the 3 in terms of length.

I have a feeling that perhaps NG's long-awaited 747-200 mould is already with us. That would be incredible. As for the second one, I can only speculate. However, I do believe that the A319/320 are also rather likely.

The fuselage on the 500 is the same length as the 600. They would just need the wings and the tail of the classic series.

Very interesting news. If I were a betting man, I would say it’s either a 788 or a a320 series as NG already has the bases for those moulds. It could also be a 747-200 which would be interesting but my moneys on the first 2.

As for the aviation 400 mould, I’m not entirely sure what that could be. My first thought was a 777-200 or a 767 mould which would make me happy to see. I just wish av400 would speed up their production

Can’t wait to see what they are!

Doubtful, a DC-10. Aeroclassics DC-10 is quite nice. And I can't imagine what hasn't been made already for liveries. Hopefully a new mould that we haven't seen yet in 1/400.

Agreed. I think Aeroclassics does the DC-10 best, and would rather see NG go for something more needed like say....a proper MD80 series.

I imagine that, given NG’s new mould goal, at least a few more of them will be variants of or at least models similar enough to existing mounds. Presumably a 788 and A35K will fall in there somewhere. Hope there’s some retro/classic moulds in there though. I can’t say I would disappointed in a DC-10, but given how good Aeroclassics’ is it just seems like that would be an unnecessary effort. Then again, JC Wings’ 787 and AV400’s A350 were already also pretty good and that didn’t stop NG from making their own versions anyways.

If you think about it, the MD-80 falls under the narrow body classification, so if I was a manufacturer, I'd consider the option of doing a narrow body, together with a wide body. Keep both parties happy don't you think? And onto the topic of the DC-10,yes AC did a fantastic job of theirs. There's no doubt about it! In fact I have a quite a lot in my collection. However if NG or AV400 decided to re do one, I wouldn't hesitate to look at it and see if it might be an improvement to an extent. Never say never in this hobby. Look at how the Tristar and SP took everyone by surprise!!

The improvement of a potential DC-10 by NG would be the undercarriage for sure.

Besides, I still hope for a 722.

Manufacturers who make rolling gear tires should include an extra set of nosegear and maingear tires with every model, standard.

Guess what planeoldwill....another vote here for MD-80 series. Very badly needed. The Dragon-JetX mould seems to have been beamed up to the Enterprise, and Gemini barely uses theirs.

As for this announcement, my guess is that the new moulds will be more 737 Next Gen, and the promised 747-100-200. An NG 747-100/200 mould can't come soon enough.

I've been lucky so far. Only had one set of "rolling gear wheels" drop off into the carpet.... I was able to find them very quickly though. A bit of glue, and they were back in place.... now "non-rolling"... which is fine with me.

I think this new mould will either be a 757-300, a320 or 788. Some may argue that these are derivative but if no are making them, they are bound to do the aircraft justice which is always nice to see

If NG makes a 757-300 that's as good as their 757-200... that would be nice..

More like A350-1000 or 787-8 or another 737 version. Something that already exist..

Hopefully I'm wrong.
You're probably spot on. I don't call them bottomfeeders for nothing!

Would there be any chance of Aeroclassics making a DC-9-10 mould? The 30, 40, and 50 are excellent. The 10 would make a great addition... in my humble opinion.

I wasn't aware they'd posted on the Chinese sites so I'll bring the announcement forward.

Who said anything about rolling gears?? New and updated more detailed landing gear. But it doesn't necessarily mean it has to roll!!

Problem is not many airlines ordered the -300 compared to the 200.

It probably wouldn't be that hard to make a -300 given they have 757 tooling.., plus they've done the weird chinese aircraft and the beluga before, which also don't have much liveries. Also, this upcoming mould that I am 99.9% sure of could kind of fit in this category too

The -300 I believe had 9 unique operators and among those 9, they wore different liveries over time so we could see probably over a year of releases if they wanted to do them all.

Hi Guys. I've been working my bottom off to get these posts ready so I can bring the announcement forward for you all. I have most of the written review done and an announcement video as well. Working on some review videos.

The plan will be to do the initial announcement of the mould on Youtube so I strongly suggest that you subscribe to my channel so you get in as soon as the announcement is made. Here's my channel:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo4...n30lsxXJ3UTy_A

Current thinking is I'll delay other content and post the announcement Monday or Tuesday NZ time this week coming.

My two cents: 757-300, 727-200 or MD-80/81

It would be great if NG Models produces a 1:400 A220-100/300 mould, since there's only JC Wings/Gemini Jets' one whose cockpit window sizes are too small.

Been waiting to add the A220 into my collection!

Don’t forget the plastic landing gear; I believe the mold originated from Herpa Wings.

Someone is a little jealous that no one has been this excited for one of his molds in the last decade, or ever
