Default Jc wings 747-8 mould

Hey guys, hope your all keeping well in corona times!

I just had a quick question about the Jc wings 747-8 mould.

I was wondering what the 747-8 mould was like today and if it has been improved from previous versions as I have the Jc wings cargolux 747-8 cutaway livery from a few years ago and whilst the model is good, the main thing that puts me off is the wingflex as it doesn’t look right on the ground.

Well, i tought about getting one of the recent JC 748 cargo releases. It wasn´t even necessary for me to worry about exaggerated wingflex as for me the dealbreaker is the very inaccurate hump geometry on the 1/400 version. at least judging by various photographs the w/f doesn´t look that bad though...

regards,
Manu

I have an earlier JC Korean Air 748.

Model is pretty good tbh, however the front bit is questionable and I only noticed this in detail recently. From the cockpit going down to the nose is virtually flat with no subtle concave bend in it. Which unfortunately now that I've really noticed it,its put a dampener on having considered at one point that this was a firm favourite of mine!

The wing flex is nothing compared to the camel hump of a nose section. That is something that really needs to be adjusted. They (JC and GJ) are releasing too many 747-8s to still have this wonky nose section.

Phoenix has the better 747-8 of the two. Where JC and GJ have PHX built is the wing to fuselage join. It is more accurate on the JC mould.

It seems all the 747-8's they release these days are the interactive kind. I do wonder if the pax version will get that too. It can look nice but I'm too afraid of missplacing the parts

Maybe its just me, but I often wonder to myself why is it that when a mould comes out in 1/200 its usually spot on and looks so accurate in so many ways, yet go down the scale 200 times more and it seems no one can get it as accurate as when its done in 1/200. This is mainly in reference to the 747. NG looks good with their SP from what I can see and the reviews so far and the new JC 400 looks good. I have noticed though with this new 744 mould, the cockpit windows are far too elongated. I stand to be corrected!
