Make models the caliber of NG’s and we’ll worship you too (I mean you charge as much as them, you might as well at least make your models look like their worth $50)

We charge as much as them? Seriously?

Can you show proof of that, or you're just reading someone's talking points?

You should be worshiping G-d; I'm definitely not interested in that!!

I see this 747 on Aeroclassics direct.com, $55

MSRP for an NG 747 is $57 and often sold a bit below

Here's an A321 from aeroclassics direct, $42

MSRP for an NG A321 is $45 and often sold a bit below

B737 from aeroclassics direct

Same thing, $42, NG MSRP $45 and often sold a bit below

I am not seeing much of a price difference here.

Aeroclassics has a great niche in providing obscure stuff that others don't make, I understand paying a bit higher price for small production run models, but NG's prices are pretty much identical as far as I can tell.

At most the official MSRP is $2 or $3 more than Aeroclassics.

Yep, $5 difference on the A330, and a $3 difference on the 757, y’know if you spent less time telling us about your religious beliefs and blaming NG for AC’s shortfalls, you could research too. Also, how did you mess up the delta widget livery so bad on that 757

Yeah if you’re gonna be charging as much as the other guys, at least provide a quality product and maybe we’d say one negative thing less about your models.

Pretty sure AeroClassics released a bunch of 737-700s, even though -700s were well represented by GJ. Not sure what you mean by "avoided", but I definitely preferred AeroClassics' -700s over GJ's.

And the -600 was well represented and executed by Panda. Not sure if AeroClassics avoided the -600 or if it was another case of Panda stealing it from AeroClassics.

Nothing like comparing apples to oranges in an argument you can not win.

You compare a Big Bird 747, which is not our tooling, to something else?
You compare the 757, which is NG's, which we had to pay them dearly for, to their's which had no markup, and we're still much less. Try again, and be serious next time!

Where did we discuss religion? You're a real piece of work!!

recently Aeroclassics ruined the livery of Royal Jordanian Cargo , that hurts a good mold but they never have the right colors.

In a nutshell, the thread is about 3 new models being introduced and one manufacturer's resentment towards other manufacturers that somehow have the ability to keep flooding the market with new models and that we should just stick to older standard models/manufacturers because................. the new manufacturers aren't innovative enough and they are bottom feeders? I don't know why.

This train started derailing at post #43. Perhaps lock this thread and Richard start a new thread

What I don't understand is,if you look on the website's production listing you'll see that at least 80% of models going back past a certain period have...SOLD OUT!!! Ones that are popular, sell out quicker! With the constant makings of the same model over and over again ( only reg is different!), it's a no wonder there's still stock SITTING IN THE WAREHOUSE!! Now to get ready for the verbal assault coming my way! Where's that 'flak jacket'?

Wait, that’s NGs 757? Good hell man, how did you screw that mold up? I mean look at these, not even factoring in the “out of scale gimmicks” that thing AC made doesn’t even deserve to be called a 757, also, not only NG and GJ made 757s so I’m not sure who AC is trying to avoid

This whole issue between aklein707 and various collectors has been derailing for so long; we’re on the verge of a complete derailment at this rate. I would agree too, lock this thread and have a new thread be started.

Wait so you're telling me we can't compre a 757 with a 757 if they are not both AC? You must be kidding, do you think you're the only one making models? And your models are the best? Sorry but no, if you are jealous NG is making new moulds people want (even if they have been already made or not) you can't just say this is dumb, because you are not the only one, and if you focus in retro models, keep doing it, but there is always a matter to improve even being the only manufacturer. And if a model is better from a different manufacturer, sorry, I'll go for it... Come on, I'm sure you are better than that, you own a model company, respect the other ones and don't claim they are bad when that's not true.

Such incoherence is mind boggling. The challenge was to compare prices, which nobody has done yet in a logical way.
One bozo points at a poor paint job on one model, and tries to compare moulds, when in fact, the moulds are identical, less a few gimmicks. That has nothing to do with price. The Delta 757s in question sold for $38 and $48 respectively, which is more than the $3 argument someone else tried! The follow on posts contain the same off subject drivel. So I will conclude with, I rest my argument about price.

I'm done with this discussion; I'm sure someone who blindly follows the Pied Piper will feel the need to get in the last word, so carry on!!

At the moment someone brings good-quality evidence to the table, the defendant steps down and tries to shut down the discussion. Not the best move I would make if I were in his shoes...

I sense smoothbrain in this thread...moving on...Aeroclassics should honestly just stick to classics unless they're of an obscure modern airline like Air Moldova. Their modern offerings are just subpar and higher quality models of the same aircraft can be gotten from other brands. The Panda and NG A330s are superior, NG 757s too. The AC A320 could be better if it had rolling gear and other things you'd expect on a modern model. Otherwise...stick to classics. That's the thing you do best and keep on excelling there with the 707s, DC-8s, and 727s

Over thirty years of collecting has taught me a few things. 1. The only way to save money is to be honest with yourself. If a model doesn’t meet your standards, even if you really wan’t it, don’t buy it. 2. Look through your entire collection objectively and get rid of models that don’t meet your standards. Be a good editor and then a good salesman. Sell them, trade them. 3. Tell someone outside of the hobby (spouse, friend) how much money you’ve spent since you began collecting. No one will respond with anything less than a look of shock and horror. 4. The price doesn’t matter because the most expensive model isn’t better than the least expensive model. The price is the price and you’ve already spent a ridiculous amount of money so “nickel and dimming” at this point is kind of pointless. If you’re on a budget or don’t have enough money to collect, no one cares - start a go-fund-me page. In the aviation collectibles world, there is no Walmart.

I won't consider this one a good mould. Not as long as you have other options. We definately also need an accurate 727 in 1/400 aswell. JCWs attempt on the AA 722 is ok, but they still have the seam on the wingbox. Seeing NG doing an amazing job on the 737NG (as far as the mould goes) they surely wouldn't disappoint regarding a potential 727.

Totally unimpressed with both the JCWings 727 and 737 latest releases, wouldn't even call them 'OK' at this point. That wingbox seam European Collector mentions is archaic, and takes both moulds out of contention. It's a new day, and we're seeing better moulds, Doug

I agree. Its 2021, an all new 727 mould should be done....100 and 200 both. There are literally hundreds that could be done....

Yes, but well after about 20 other types as I said before, which have higher priority by any qualitative or quantitative measures.

Yep, you're right. A DC-9-10 should DEFINITELY be done before the 727. To me that short 9 is a very high priority, I can think of at least 50 that can be done just off the top of my head. I'm sure there a lot more if I gave it some thought.
