Hello fellow collectors,
I want to share with you something I didn't know.
Today, I was checking my Instagram account and came across some interesting information posted by another collector I follow. In his post, he showed three models which seem to be special releases by Panda (one of them is a re-release). I haven't seen those listed anywhere else but at the RM Model Store. Those seem to be exclusive models for that specific store. Two of them are still available for preorder, but one is already sold out.
These are the models:

Just saw a photo of the DHL 737-400 by Panda on RM Model's site. Looks like the off road version of the 737-400 to me! Is this a one-off or are all of Panda's B734s going to look like this?
Great, the one that I want is sold out. Guess I'll be prowling eBay in Apr/May timeframe.
Harvey
second production run will be done later with a different registration

I wanted that one too. It says those were announced on January 7th and available for preorder on January 15th. I never heard anything about those releases.

Southwest 737 w/ splits? iirc RM told me that he's making a second release of it as the first batch has sold out.

No, the JetBlue. I really don't like the new Southwest livery. Loud and annoying. Hopefully they'll come up with a better livery in about a decade.
Harvey
Each to their own I suppose but how can anyone not like the Southwest livery???? I'd rather see a colourful scheme like this than the boring dull eurowhite trash that so many airlines are flying around with! In fact the US are brilliant with their airlines being colourful and imaginative, unlike boring boring Europe!!

I like liveries to be in a happy medium between Eurowhite and Loud/Annoying. Southwest's Canyon Blue livery fit that bill.

Thank you MROC-SJO, I was not aware of RM Model until today. Immediately signed up with them. I would really like to have the JBU and SWA models. Let's see if they appear on ebay.
It is really gratifying to see the retailers producing special models. In recent months, The Airplane Shop, Prairie Diecast, Threshold Aviation, El Aviador Models and 400 Scale Club Hangar have all produced some excellent models and I have bought them all! Unfortunately, I don't think they do the best job of making collectors aware of them.
Another JetBlue for me to get. I think I missed a couple of the really early JetBlue's by Gemini. I know I have most of them. Even the Velocity versions.

You're welcome! It's always a pleasure to share info with fellow collectors.
Me neither. Never heard of them. Maybe those will be listed at ebay.com someday, but I don't even want to imagine how pricey they'll be since those are exclusive models.

Re: Special/Excusive Releases by Panda?
Haven't those already been released by other more reputable companies??? What's the big deal?

Panda is one of the couple of manufacturers that are willing to answer emails on making custom releases, and they are excellent to work with. I don't know much about previous happenings but they are the only option for many releases that I want to do, and they make a good product, so the choice is obvious.

Oh forgot to say, it’d also be nice if those reputable brands could at least get the colors right (not asking for quality or details)... and don’t get me with the excuse calling me names when it was not the same registration please.

Other than one eBay seller trying to sell the AeroClassics' version of the SWA 737 for $150, there is zero availability.
There is one AeroClassics Spirit A320 on eBay available.
This version of the JetBlue has not yet been done.
Word on the street is that AeroClassics won't re-release anything already done. So, I would say that RM Model is trying to meet a certain valid demand. Just like AeroClassics released less than a 100 of each Faucett DC-8 causing disappointment for those that couldn't get one, I would say AeroClassics just leaves the door open for others to come in and fill the voids. If AeroClassics doesn't make enough to meet demand, what's the big deal with someone satisfying the demand?

No they haven't.
GJ only did the Spirit A320 in those colors with sharklets.
No one has done the heart livery on the 737-700 with scimitars.
No one has done that JetBlue tail.
Haven't those already been released by other more reputable companies??? What's the big deal?
Well, it would be nice if these 'reputable' companies could get both the accurate color hexes and mould.
And to answer your question, no, none of them have been made before.
The Southwest 737-700 "Heart" only exists with blended winglets in 1:400 scale.
The Spirit A320ceo in the banana livery with fence-tip winglets has never been made, only with sharklets.
The jetBlue A320 "Shantay Blue" tail has never been made by anyone.
You can search the internet as long and hard as you want, but I assure you these from RM are the only ones you will find.
Oh forgot to say, it’d also be nice if those reputable brands could at least get the colors right (not asking for quality or details)... and don’t get me with the excuse calling me names when it was not the same registration please.
I have a feeling he’ll come up with the excuse of it being a Blue Box as you can see that logo on there, claiming it wasn’t his. He’s trying to fight a battle that at this point he’s going to lose by a mile and a half. It’s not worth it.
