Default NG Model A350 nose landing gear

Today I have received my NG Models Delta Air Lines A350-900 & Iberia A350-900.

To my horror, both Delta & Iberia A350’s nose landing gears have a backward bent.

The backward bent issue is so severe that my DL A350 can’t even stand upright:

While it should be looking like this:

I certainly hope this hiccup is a one-off plaguing Nov-20 NG Models A350 releases, and especially do not want to see this issue recur in the future, especially the Dec-20’s Singapore Airlines A350-900 & “10,000th Airbus”.

I understand your frustration. I'm sure you have fear of the gear leg snapping. If so, I recommend you simply return your model to your dealer.

Sadly not, its been an issue from the very first NG 350 releases. My Luftwaffe 350 has it exactly like that. Theres been some discussion on DAC too.
Looks like it was NOT bent backwards, but wrongly installed, so I do NOT recommend to just bend it!

Nose landing gear deja vu with NG again. First few batches of 787s had the nose down attitude issue. Now incorrectly installed nose landing gears on the A350. Waiting to see NG's official photos is not even a safe bet anymore. Sticking with my AV400 Delta A350 preorder, even though it may be months before I get it in my hands....

That is disappointing however it doesn't impact all NG 350s. The one I got didn't have the issue for example:

NG have at times been a little poor installing nosegears on 737s, 757s and L-1011s but your example above is extreme.

Mine is fine as well, possibly even a little angled forward (on the right)

So, what are people's thoughts on the cockpit window size here? AV400 slightly too big? Or NG slightly too small?

I don't think it's a size difference, I think it's the silver outline of the cockpit window frames on the AV400's being a lot more noticeable (which looks better IMO). But I think the NG's overall nose shape is better.

I agree, AV400's window frame does give the model a better look. I do think it's bigger/wider than NG's. As for the nose shape, NG's is probably more accurate. For the time being, I'm fine with building a fleet of A350s with AV400 models.

FWIW, my Iberia showed up today and the nose gear is fine.

Both of my Malaysia copies had nose gear tilting too far forward. I took the risk and just grabbed them with two fingers and gently loosened it, removed it and added a dab of glue, and voila, better than new!

this is fortunately generally an easy fix, you can wiggle it a bit and put it back, with little risk
