Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"
I'm surprised to see the An-124, all the ones i have are from Herpa...
I bought the Gemini Volga Dnepr example when it was first released back in 2004. I don't think they released another 124 after 2013 or so ? Interestingly the 1:1 Volga fleet of 124's has just been grounded following last week's engine failure incident.

You can already own all seven of BA's Concorde fleet in Chatham livery if you include the Harrods exclusive edition. There's only been one Landor release by GJ and three Negus (British Airways/British/Brooklands British Airways). Given the popularity of the Landor scheme amongst the aviation community, I'm surprised it hasn't been released more.
I take it this new release follows the JC Wings mould upgrade from a few years ago ?

Which of the Concordes is the rarest? I do have one from GJ (latest release prior to this one) but I assume this is the most common one.

The Harrods edition (G-BOAB) is probably the hardest to find, but you now have this G-BOAB too. The Gemini/Corgi twin set of Chatham livery (G-BOAF) & BOAC livery (G-BOAC) is also difficult to get now. The rest of the BA fleet were covered by general GJ releases.

Any info on when retailers will start to receive these models? Not sure if GJ will do expedited shipping to get these models to retailers then to customers before Christmas...

The nose landing gear on the Southwest makes it look like it was made by Tonka.
The only models that induce a "wow" out of me are the USAF C-32 with its impressive array of aerials, the A400M (a very nicely done model), and the AN-124 (just because, well, it's an AN-124!).

It’s never been right for quite some time, though it has been modified slightly I think recently. Really needs to be facelifted ASAP. I agree the Southwest nose landing gear does look off from this angle, but imo it’s better than the old spigot landing gear found on the Tennessee or Colorado releases.

They most certainly are. You can see the seams. Too bad GJ doesn't take advantage of the new in house mould from JC Wings. If so, that Qantas would be an instant sellout.

I think that the whole mould just needs to be put away. It's just obsolete in many ways. To me the most glaring issue is the fact that the nose gear is in the completely wrong place. This distorts the whole look of the front of the aircraft. This has been analyzed many times.

I have to agree with you. The other issue is with the wings. I don’t know why it’s like this; I’ve gotten three broken Airbus A320 family aircraft with detached wings. Either insufficient or no glue is being put on the wings and it’s gotten annoying. This issue’s been widely persistent since about 2017 and why Gemini hasn’t addressed this by now baffles me.
The G-BOAB Concorde release will fill a hole for anyone fleet collecting the seven reg's who didn't get the previous 'AB' Harrods exclusive. Personally, I'd have thought an advance on the one Landor Concorde release might have been done by now, and also with the minor mould improvements added by JC several years ago. A new gear could have been added by now, but maybe that's a future plan or reaction to any 'other' 1:400 Concorde that "may" appear ?

Ive always liked Gemini's MD-11 and have several in my collection, however I wish GJ would 'push the boat out' with this mould and do the elongated exhaust cones, which I've NEVER seen produced on any MD-11 model period!! Why?

It's a shame if it is, would love to see a QF 744 on JC's new 744 mould, at the moment, my most accurate Qantas 747 is a 2004 Dragon model.

I think this is actually the mould to which people including myself are referring to.
It's becoming maddening to think about. Gemini should have access to some of the better mould that JC Wings are using (and some cases they do, the "flaps down" 787, for example). Gemini has been putting out some great releases based on the registrations they are choosing, but the moulds aren't top tier. Too bad.

NG announced 10 new moulds for 2021. Hopefully that will shake their cage.

Hopefully so. Gemini needs to step their game up because they’ve probably been losing a few customers to NG. They gave their 757 mold a massive upgrade when NG debuted, so why not with the A330, A321, B787, and others?

We can always hope. I just wish they would do something about the massive engines on the A319 and A320. They look too big for even a 757.

I doubt it. I've bought a few Geminis in the recent past from retail stores in the Dallas area, and a few had similar gear issues. Never mind the A321 I bought at the CR Smith museum that had both wings fall off with paint damage. That's still going to be a ***** to fix.
Russell, what are the chances of the Concorde tooling receiving the same antenna upgrade as JC briefly did and also modernised gears with better scaled main tyres ? These could really make it a great mould.

I can only suggest it, it is a great idea...Will forward that on...

Some bad news, unfortunately, for those that ordered the Volga-Dnepr Antonov 124. I looked at Waffle’s image and found that the model only has one nose gear. Now I did not preorder this since I have a 124 already, but just giving a heads up to those that did.

I don't think you can tell from that angle whether there's another gear leg behind that one or not. The picture from the other side on DiMA looks fine.

You're quite right it "LOOKS" like a nose gear is missing.

IMO, the AN-124 looks really bad... Looks more like a toy than a collectible. That mould (and a lot more) needs some upgrading! I'm glad I didn't preorder that one.
