I got dmed by multiple people on instagram for this model and honestly don't know an accurate price to gauge this at. Does anybody have a realistic buy it now price that I could sell it at? Honestly, don't know if this is worth $100 or $300 or even the above $1000 (lol) Thank you

If you really don't want to do an auction, put it up for $1000, allow offers, and take the best one if no one pulls the trigger at that price. But IMO an auction will fetch what the market thinks it's worth.
After some time of silence, we have another thousand dollar Delta CRJ-900. Highest bid is at $600, but you can buy it for $1,000 as of this being posted.

Not a DL CRJ, but just came across this on eBay. His other auctions aren't listed at out of this world prices, so, is $2,000 really a "reasonable" price? I don't collect this airline so I don't know.

I recommend whoever has one to sell it off now before a manufacturer does a re-release or NG makes one. A similar thing happened with the Delta Tristars, the GJ versions of releases plummet in price

Do you remember the VC-10 madness? Some folks knew of an upcoming Gemini mould before the general collectorate, and dumped their AC VC-10's for a large sum.
A few folks that paid the premium felt duped. At that time, however, the VC-10's were among the rarest models ever.
Highly doubt this is the case. Any random yahoo could say this just to hype up the collectors. I will wait until an official announcement is made by Gemini Jets to start hyping things up.

Reviving this thread yet again, there are now two active eBay listings for the Delta CRJ-900. One is an auction going for $999 with no bidders (thank goodness, don’t waste your money on this) or you can buy it now for $1,300. Another is a buy-it-now listing for a more modest $800.

wow. ONLY $300!! lol. wonder what those people that paid $3,000 + $3,500 and any others over $1000 are thinking.
They're probably feeling right stupid.

Two updates:
1. I made a custom Delta CRJ-900! Bought two of the Shapeways 3D-printed ones for about $15. Pretty happy with how it’s turned out so far; it’s not great, but it’s my first time doing a custom model. Here’s what I have so far as it’s not finished; underbelly and winglets need a little bit of paint. Beats risking homelessness for the Gemini release secondhand, though

Lol I just bought a plain livery Delta Connection Crj-900 for 125 USD. Most I'd ever spent on 1/400 but I'm almost done collecting every Delta/Delta Connection currently operating and this was about to be the bottleneck so I went for it. Especially since a rerelease doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon and they still go for stupid money on eBay.

$125 is an absolute STEAL for one of those things right now. You got lucky.

Damn, the scary part is that people are willing to pay more for that CRJ9 than for the AC Avianca 747-200. I know if I had to spend that much on a model, I know which one I'd go for (not that I would). $350AUD a bit too much for me, plus NG will probably make one when they bring out their 747 classic moulds (hopefully!).

He didn't get lucky. He's a very sane spender and that is a very reasonable price for a regional. Everyone paying $300+ for it is just an idiot. Most I've spent on a model was $330 for a 1:200 Southwest 737-700 in the gold livery.
My thoughts ex-flipping-actly! Only problem is they don’t have the mold anymore so we will have to rely on JC Wings developing a CRJ9 mold for 1:400 then their long wait times after release announcement...
Where did you hear that the CRJ-900 mould is no longer available?
Harvey

Probably yes,but highly likely no!!
If someone is going to depart with this amount of money ( for a 1/400 piece of metal),there's an almost 100% guarantee this person is swimming in dosh!!

Not really, you'd be surprised.
Just because someone drives around in an expensive car, doesn't always mean they are rich and vice versa.
Some people can't budget or deal with money for sh*t and are have truckloads of debts, sure they may have good jobs, but they get carried away and spend more than they should.

Even bigger moment of silence for those collectors who are ordering dozens of these thinking they'll make a killing on these one ebay. One retailer told of a twenty piece pre-order from one person...

There seem to be a lot of suckers on Ebay that may fall for this because they think they're getting something rare. But even if someone is truly only after the older one because it's Comair, I still don't see those selling for as much now because most buyers probably won't know/won't care about that difference.

Looks like the Delta CRJ-900 meme is officially dead. One just sold for $157.
Furthermore, the United 757 in the tulip livery done by NG seems to have surpassed it in value; one went for $232 two days ago. Other models in the same ballpark encroaching on it are the Southwest 737 in the heart livery (as of now, an auction on ebay at $153 ongoing..) and maybe the TWA L1011 (went for $152 yesterday) and Delta L1011 (-250) although I have not seen the latter on ebay at all except one listing that was absurd. All NG obviously...
How do you guys reckon the people who bought it for over $500 feel?
