A stellar line up, especially for the BA 757 collectors. A year after the LHR show BA Poppy 757 release, we get the 535C engined alternative. And the Qatar 747SP will be coming my way too.

Is the G-BPEK Pause to Remember any different to the G-BMRB Pause to Remember version from about a year or so ago? Apart from the reg of course. I'm on a budget at the moment and can quite happily pass on it if there isn't

G-BMRB = RB-211-535C type engines
G-BPEK = RB211-535E4 type engines.

Identical otherwise.

Great month for some narrow bodies, and I am especially happy to see some more BA 757s. There are so many of the World Tails still to do, that I am wondering why they release G-BMRB once again, yet this time in the UK World Tail without the "pause to remember" decal. I'm happy as it helps with the fleet build, but there are 5 other G-BM_ _ regs with different tails that I would have assumed come before another version of G-BMRB, such as:

G-BMRA - India

G-BMRG - Hong Kong

G-BMRC - Teaming up for Britain

G-BMRH - Nalanji

G-BMRF - Water Dreaming

Here's hoping besides correcting the B747SP reported issues, NG Models does not use day-glo orange for the South African Airways B747SP. Please see the orange used by Aeroclassics SAA B707, B737 & B747. Thank you

I'll definitely go for G-BPEK in 'Pause to Remember' livery as I have the others and this will be a nice addition (I saw all of the poppy liveries on B757's as I lived by Heathrow back when they were applied each year) I wasn't expecting another poppy livery from NG but this is nice and fitting for this time of year

Also will go for the RAF A330 too.
I'm tempted to go for VP-BAT too as I saw that at LHR a lot.

Looks like a great lineup of twins big and small, for those interested.

I would like to order the South African 747SP. However, given the serious color error on the Iran Air 747SP (blue way too dark), I'm going to wait for photos. If that step risks my missing out, so be it.

NG has largely done extremely well with moulds and colors. However, there have been color mistakes--the orange-ish stripe on Air Holland, the Republic 757 stripe, Ambassador 757 blue, for instance. I'm also concerned about the nose shape on the 747SP. I'll post pictures of my pre-ordered Iran Air when it arrives.

It's great that NG is moving into more moulds, but they do need to keep an eye on both color and mould shape.

Jim

Delta 737 and JetBlue for sure. Will wait for photos to decide on Delta A350 and Iberia A350. The hesitation on the IB A350 is that the livery is really boring. Or maybe it's the same type of dull billboard title font that United has that turns me off on this livery. Hoping NG will blow me away with this IB A350!

I will be going for the three N-reg aircraft, and maybe either a Westjet or the Iberia. Great to see more Delta aircraft. Fun fact about N512DN: this is Delta's first A350 with the revised wing twist and larger Sharklets.

Dear NG,
As feedback: The engine nozzle should be colored as the image attached to this post. I noticed these two bottom parts of the engine were painted using the same tone. I know this is just an artwork and it does not necessarily represent the final product, but it would be more precise if you could represent this in the actual model.

Can someone explain the difference with the 3x BA 757 to what I already have, apart from the engines? Looked at mine this morning and can't see anything different on color scheme.

Other than having alternative engines to the previous all Chatham and Poppy Chatham releases the Open Skies differs by being the original silver text/cowlings version, whereas last year's release sported the L'Avignon purple/lilac text and blue cowlings.

Thanks I thought you could confirm that. So the Open Skies is the same livery as the Gemini.? So nothing for me. I haven't got room in the cabinet.

I still have about 10 models in the "Holding Pattern" waiting to get squeezed in....
Hopefully should start to photo each individual model soon to go on the website.
Was hoping for a break, but we are deemed NHS contracted essential services. (Bu66er!)

That color difference is due to heat changes compared to a new engine.

Hopefully should start to photo each individual model soon to go on the website.
Was hoping for a break, but we are deemed NHS contracted essential services. (Bu66er!)
Yes same as the Gemini Jets release but on the superior NG tooling. I'll be getting it to replace my GJ. I'm guessing these three 757's were timed to be Heathrow Show exclusives this month, but show got cancelled ?

And yup, 'key worker' here too, not been this busy in years.

I have been asking for that #100 WestJet 738 in 1/200 forever! 1/400 collectors get all the best stuff. My eyes just aren’t good enough to appreciate the detail in such small scale.

I'm just a little bit worried about the nose gear.
Both Luftwaffe and EasyJet look fine. However, the MHs caught my attention as they kinda reminded me of Phoenix The Negaraku one is a bit bent and the generic one is too high.
What do you think?

Me too, my Luftwaffe 350 has a bent nose gear too. Something NG might want to look into.

My biggest concern however is the already mentioned artwork glitch on the Luftwaffe crosses. They should align to at least two axes and not be printed like on the model. The wing bottom side of my model even has them printed in different positions - issues not really vissible here, just a generic shot I just took for the fun of it:

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope NG's QC team will pay attention to this.
Love the picture by the way.

Here's my copy of the Iran Air 747SP. Unfortunately there are two oblong gouges in the upper fuselage just ahead of the tail, as if someone pressed tongs against the cast fuselage before it cooled. It was just painted over. I've written the dealer asking for an exchange.

But, as usual, I post a photo of the model in its received condition. There wasn't any grobotnik to clean off. The forward pair of wheels on the forward port landing gear had popped off and were loose in the box. The blue is indeed way too dark, though not quite as bad as in NG's photos.

I included a nose profile. One problem, at least on my copy, was a long triangular flat zone running down the nose below the two center cockpit windows. It is very noticeable 'in the flesh.' So, apparently still some work to do on the nose.

Jim

Thanks for those pics and the feedback, Jim. I've ordered this too, but have reservations about it. It hasn't been dispatched yet. One retailer in Malaysia has actually returned their allocation of these back to NG, due to QC issues. Apparently they won't be getting replacements until January next year. I wonder if these QC issues are like the ones which are apparent on your example. Hopefully these snags can be ironed out.

Hi, NGmodels, these are a solid set of releases for me. I got both westjets and the air canada rouge a321. Soon could we please have more American Airlines and Southwest Airlines 737-800s please. Also, are you planning on making another 737 mould like the -700, or -900?
