Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
So here we have it: The most accurate A350! I am so glad they naield this one. German AF1 needs very nice.
AF 789 looks good aswell, though I hope the one which will be shipped to me will feature a straight printed cockpit. Looks like they did something on the indercarriage aswell.

Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
Thanks for 10+03.
BUT: printing the cross not aligning to the airframes axes is a nono. They always need to a allign to the aircraft's axes according to GAF painting orders.
Avoidable error, but otherwise nice looking model. Can't wait for mine to arrive.
Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
The A350 nose looks a bit blunt and the cockpit windows appear too small (similar in effect to the atrocious Phoenix rendition), mainly due to there being a large "hump" over the cockpit windows. This makes it appear to have a high "forehead" and the cockpit windows appear to sit too low. The "hump" should be flattened a bit.

Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
Maybe the cockpit is a little too small, but better having the shape right than a completely misplaced GJ/JC models. As it is almost always printed too high. Maybe it also is an optical illusion due to the angle of photography.
Maybe you're also right on the nosecone, but it doews not annoy me how it does on the 747, overall imho it looks like this is the best mould available.

Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
Why do the Easy and Malaysian 350s have differently colored, rather medium grey wings?
As I said in an other thread to NG's attention, ALL A350s come in the same shade of light grey (off white depending on how you look at it)
I like the Luftwaffe the way it is, but the grey should definitely not be any darker - but similar on ALL 350 wings - except for the prototypes.

All wings of regular production A350 therefore come in the same standard pattern which is often referred to as "Matterhorn White" - if you go by color charts of various makers, this is a very off-white or light grey shade.
I too often was curious as to why real 350 wing colors look so different depending on the livery. The reason is that the fuselages are painted in quite some different shades of white. The brighter the white on the fuselage and the "better" the lighting conditions, the more noticeable the grey of the wings, yet its always the same.
Strange to see a variety of greys and whites on model 350s.

Can't wait to get my Alaska B738!! It looks so goooood!!
That United B738 is tempting me... but we already have the hints for November, so I'll better wait.

Ordered the Iran SP, but like others have already been saying, NG really need to fix the cockpit windows and window line. They’re definitely not right.

Yes, indeed NG Model’s A350 mould is simply the best.
Interestingly, there is a new picture of the NG Model’s A350 nose on the easyJet model, which was not shown here.
Compared to the real thing (apologies, been only able to find this one at this angle):
It seems that the width of the cockpit windows could be stretched a little bit?
Re: NG Model - 1:400 October 2000 Release Photogra
Are these still sample models--is there time to correct issues?
I realize NG's pictures are generally too saturated, but Iran Air appears to be much too dark. The cheatline blue earlier livery is lighter than the blue used on the tail for the later Euro-white livery.

I don't think anyone does sample models anymore, other than the blanks that Richard has occasionally received. Once pictures show up they're usually a done deal.

Don't have high hopes for this one. I don't think anyone has gotten the cockpit window shape right in any scale, the closest being Revell in 1:144.
I can live with the cockpit - it simply is too small. The undercarriage is more accurate than on other moulds. which to me makes it the best A350 available.

Totally agree that NG Models’ A350 is still the best & the cockpit windows are acceptable.
Besides nose landing gear and the engine pylons/exhaust cone shape, another point that I dislike AV400’s A350 very much is that its wings’ trailing edge is way too thick, just like a piece of metal plate.
To borrow a photo from Richard with credits to illustrate this issue with AV400 A350:
Already ordered the 2x Malaysia Airlines A350s, 1x German AF A350 and ready to order the Delta & Iberia A350s.

The only thing apart from the cockpit windows I dislike from the NG A350 are the engines, the exhaust is the wrong color plus the end of the engine (i don’t know it’s name) it’s rounded, and should be straight which is better on the Av400’s. But apart from that, Wow,amazing mould looking forward for that iberia EC-NXX (Prolly EC-NBE)

They've definitely seen the pictures (at least of the Sands 747 that I edited) and indicated they'll work my suggestions into their future releases, but who knows how long that'll be.

I noticed that too. Same happened to the B787 (I think it's fixed now). The nozzle should be in a different color.

I'm not sure about Enter 737-800 - the shade of blue is waaaay to dark. That's a pitty, I have been waiting so long for this livery - I guess I will cancel my pre-order :/

The photos are heavily saturated and are not entirely accurate to the final product. The american 757 they released last year was way to dark in the photos but the actual model is much lighter.

I think it is in manufacture's interest to publish photos of their product to show how good it is. I already cancelled my pre-order and I will wait to see different photos of this model.

they have to shoot the photos of the models in as much light as possible otherwise we wouldn't be able to see all the details of the models. all the manufacturers do it, Gemini did it with their new p08 Poseidon where the grey looked off but it was just the lighting.

Yeah if you do a quick search for other photos on retailers sites the colour looks fine
