Default New JC Wings 747-400 mould

These pictures are doing the rounds and facebook currently.

I must say, this looks very promising from JC Wings. I will surely be ordering it and now its time for all those 747-400s to be made!!

NGModels announce a new 747 mould, and 747 models start appearing from all sides, and that's a good thing. Bring it On! Doug

This new mould looks so nice and neat.
We need more new and improved moulds (like this one) instead of those outdated moulds that some others keep selling...
Good job JC Wings!

I really have huge expectations from the upcoming NG 747-100/200 moulds, hopefully it is the crown jewel.

These mfgs have been around for ages, how are they still messing up the cockpit windows this badly?

I might really be the only one having a problem with the shape of the aft fuselage (as adressed here https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...ml#post2790606)
Add to that the strange looking nose profile.
Better than what we had so far but I'm not really happy with it.

That beauty will be mine soon as it hits the market! Only thing is that with JC Wings you never know exactly when that is. Still a great job from their side!

I'm happy with those 744s I have, there are a couple I'd replace, but overall the GJ mould is good enough. It'll be great for those that have missed out on previous releases though. The one I would like to have a good look at is their flaps down version. I'd definitely pick a couple of those up if they came available.

Beautiful! Really like the nose in particular in the photos - which I've always felt differentiated the various 747 moulds the most. Not a big fan of the sharp-angled wing join on the leading edge of the wings though. Have a classic DW 747-100 next to me and the wing join certainly doesn't remind me of a Lamborghini Aventador as much as these JC ones do.

Looking good, especially the engines do look crisp. Maybe the cockpit windows are a little oversized.

I agree with you. I like the nose shape. As for the tail section I'm with Phantom II.

This problem with the fuselage can also be seen on the JC/GJ 1/200. Also Inflight did not manage to get rid of thios problem over the years - but hey, you cannot expect too much at once... What to me is striking aswell is that the fuselage as a whole (to speak in a photographers language) has got too many filters on. It could handle more contours. Esp. the hump looks too round (see pics)...and the nosecone needs to be pointier.

Don't get me wrong, it still looks way better than the previous one, and I am glad that they seem to have managed to fix that Gen1 swinging mlg below the fuselage.

I really don't understand why JC has to make a 'new' 747-400 mould when he actually owns the definitive Big Bird 747 moulds that we all agree were the best? Is this actually the Big Bird mould that he's done something with?

I'm not much of a critic, but the old Dragon Wings 744 mould still may not have been surpassed.

I feel the cockpit windows do actually remind me of the BigBird mould they have, so it could be a possible mix of both ?

Does anybody know if Gemini will use this mould for their Qantas and Cargolux retro?
