Default Gemini Jets - Model Photo Algorithm

Hello everyone,
I've been doing this for many months now, but I haven't really shared it with anyone before. I've created an algorithm of how Gemini Jets posts photos of the previous month's releases. Most of you may know how it goes, but for those that don't or never pay attention, here's the breakdown:
- The posting is separated into three stages, as I like to view them: On Approach, Just Landed, and Recent Arrival. Sometimes the New Arrival stage does appear; it's changed usually every month or so.
- The gaps between each post vary; as of late, the On Approach is just one big post for each scale (1:200 and 1:72, then 1:400); the Just Landed stage has a four-hour gap; the last stage may have a six-hour gap, but it can vary based on what is posted; if it's the 360 video, it'll usually be the bigger gap; if it's something else, it could be the smaller four-hour gap, but again, it can vary. I usually wait to determine a pattern until I see a consistent one.

Attached below is the algorithm for the next stage, the New Arrival stage.

(Edit: all times are central, which is my time zone)

Yep, I also do all of those calculations on the interminable rounds of posts lol (the gaps for each round of posts and etc)
2:00p Central time seems right, as we got the posts at that time for the past few of the monthly releases. Hopefully we have a good release this time...

I do hope so, too. Maybe we’ll finally get that American RJ that we’ve been waiting for... If not, I’ll gladly take a McChord C-17.

Final photo has been posted for round three. Pending no photos are posted later tonight, I would expect the release announcement to take place tomorrow.

We've hit noon on the West Coast. Unfortunately, I do not see the releases. Not sure if it's an error or we won't be getting them today...

Good news: Gemini Jets has removed the August releases from the New Releases webpage. Them leaving it there prior could explain why we got no new releases earlier.

Just noticed that too, along with the September releases finally being displayed as now available. We probably only need the Future previews to be updated and then we might have the releases tomorrow on 2pm Central time..?

Most likely correct. I imagine the future releases are updated at the same time the releases are announced.

Yeah, that was what basically all of us were expecting, including me. However I just noticed that Gemini started ANOTHER set of September posts, it is just a one big oof. What's even worse is that this round, which is the video, will most likely have a 6-hour gap... Come on Gemini

With Gemini Jets starting up round 4 of the model posting, here's a look at what we can expect going forward. At the latest, we won't be getting the new releases until next Monday. Frustrating indeed but we'll make do with it.

The October releases announcement would probably drop on Monday, rather than Sunday. That's what usually happens...

Gemini Jets has confirmed that we will see the October releases on Tuesday, October 13th. Should still be the noon Pacific timeframe as with past releases.

Not to spoil y'alls fun or anything, but expecting consistency out of any manufacturers release schedule at any time is likely going to leave you disappointed.

It gets scrambled every year by Chinese New Year, shipping delays, customs, you name it. There's even been entire months just skipped (not that I recall by Gemini, but I could even be wrong there). Personally, I wouldn't spend too much effort trying to pinpoint release dates, since it's always going to change.

Another interesting development has been the inconsistency with these video posts. I’m seeing gaps of 4, 7, and even 12 hours on some of the latest posts. Not sure if me cracking the pattern code has anything to do with it

Eh, it's always fun trying. Makes waiting for the releases a bit more tolerable if you know what I mean.

I do remember when they did a release for both December 19 and January 20; likely the holidays prevented them from releasing enough models for two releases so they just combined whatever they could get into one release. They did skip March 20 IIRC due to COVID.

Looks like Tuesday is gonna be the release day but not expecting much in the way of original/first time releases rather I'm gonna be expecting a bunch of reaction releases to NG

NG’s way more inconsistent with announcing new releases, as Denny has pointed out in a past thread. Gemini’s is a bit more predictable as they have this posting set that acts as the buildup to the new releases.

Gemini Jets looks to have concluded the Recent Arrival videos; no Cessna 172 video has been found on their Facebook nor Instagram. Surprisingly, they wrapped this up a day early; if the releases were to come out on Tuesday, they would have wrapped it up tomorrow (Monday), as with past months, the releases are announced the following day. I would be optimistic on getting the releases tomorrow, but since they said Tuesday would be the release announcement date, I will take their word for it.

In other news, what do you think Gemini Jets has planned to be released this month? Last month’s set wasn’t good minus the 772s.

I think they'll release GJDLH1925, GJDAL1927 and GJUAL1795 (from their future release previews). Hope I'm wrong but I see another Emirates model coming...
I'd really like to see a Condor B763 wearing their current livery (no Thomas Cook heart in the tail). That one would be so nice to get (if they do not mess the colors of course).

The United 789 and BA/Comair 737-8 have been there for like a year. I’m sure they’ll release one of them this month. Problem is NG have already done a 789 in the new colors so I imagine they won’t get many sales because most of their customers will already have the NG. Preferably, I’d like to see the McChord C-17 from the future release.

Hopefully we see no Emirates this month. To date they’ve made 26 A380s, 21 777s, 4 A340s, 1 A330, and 1 787 for 53 total models in 400 scale. I fully understand the licensing agreement but Gemini Jets, please space out those Emirates releases so we don’t have to worry about it every month, or just release them individually away from the main releases.

For other releases, I want to see some United States regional jet (including the one in my signature lol), and that’s all I know of.

Problem with the NG UA 789 is that it was released before they fixed the nose down attitude issue. It touched down at my house and it took off right away to an eBay buyer. Very much looking forward to a GJ release.

Yep, those two have been sitting there for a while. I believe the UA B789 is more likely to be released this month (OCT2020) since I think no more MAXs will be released/announced until they are back in the air again. But who knows?

Friendly reminder that we should be seeing the releases tomorrow at 3 PM Eastern, 12 Pacific (3P ET / 12P PT). Will be on and will post the releases on here once I’m done reacting to them (permitting someone else doesn’t beat me to it).

Thanks for the info! I just saw that special release listed at the Airplane Shop. Just as they did with the JetBlue NY Fire Dept. It will be more expensive as well...

Louisiana One? What scale is it being made in? I bet you Waffle’s gonna try and snag some if that’s the case; I will grab one for Christmas.

So close to those releases, I can almost taste them...

I mean it figuratively, not literally.

Is the Louisiana One still showing up on their website? I can’t find it on there but would definitely like to grab one.

Here’s a link to the order page. It says expected release date is Jan 2021 but I don’t think that’s the case. It’s also possible for it to be a future release and The Airplane Shop got ahead of themselves.

After another disappointing set of releases, we begin with a no less than five-week wait until the next set of releases... in which those releases may be another thing of disappointment. Watch this space once the photos are posted.

It’s been well over a month since we got the October releases announced. Photos were announced late last week thankfully so the December releases should be out in the next couple of weeks. I say December because obviously, we’re at the end of November! The current pandemic has caused staff shortages with the trucking companies and at the ports, so shipping times have been delayed by quite a bit.

Moving on; at the rate Gemini Jets is posting photos, the Just Landed stage should be done by tomorrow at 4PM Pacific Time. Next stage, most likely New Arrival, should start shortly thereafter and should take the same amount of time with the four-hour gaps. After that should follow the Recent Arrival stage with the 360-degree videos with the six-hour gaps. We should be done with everything come early to mid-December, so be patient folks!

With the possibility of new releases tomorrow, what do you think will be released? Here’s what I’m predicting:

- another UA/AA widebody duo. They’re decent, but it’s getting annoying seeing those two airlines get widebody releases almost every month. There’s plenty of other releases they could do instead of those two.
- possibly an Emirates A380. Based on a thread crownvic created, I highly suspect this will be in the releases too. What special livery it will be this time I have no clue; haven’t they run out of ideas for special liveries by now?

Overall I don’t have any better expectations than last month.
