Default NG Model - 1:400 August 2020 Release Photographs

NG Model have provided the following photographs of their 1:400 August 2020 release - please note the photograph of 53153 American Airlines N645AA will be added in the near future.

I'm waiting on NGM to confirm when they will make the photographs of the four ARJ21-700 models available.

I will post the "hints" for the NG Model September 2020 release on Monday.

747 looks fantastic. I think the cockpit windows should be slightly smaller and printed just a touch higher, but looks amazing overall!

I’ll be interested to see the 747’s JT9D’s up close; the N2 stage might be too small. Beyond that, first photos of it look like they did a great job.

Personally, waiting to see photos the American 757.

The 747 still needs some rework imho. could be the angle of the pic, but to me the cheatline needs to be place lower and the nosecone could be a little pointier.

Looking good as usual. I think it's just the National A330 I'm after, a former Thomas Cook example in real life too.

Thank you ‘European Collector’ for your pictures on the 747. Those were exactly my sentiments when I saw the original photo of the model. The mould looks very close, but hopefully a little tweaking will happen, but nonetheless that window line needs to be lowered, and that should be an easy fix. A few will be making their way to my shelves. Keep up the great work NG

I don't know engine lingo; is "N2" the front cowling? If so, yes, it appears too shallow to me. It should be slightly deeper front to back.

Also, the window line appears slightly high to me.

But very happy to see the 747SP out and in use at last!

I think the window line is slightly high, but not by much. Accounts for everything else that has been commented on it.

Mucked around with the 747sp on photoshop and came up with something that I feel is a little more accurate. Hopefully NG sees this at some point.

The "hot exhaust" portion of the engine, aft of the "cold exhaust". N1 are the main fans, visible in the intake.

On an actual JT9D, the exhaust 'spike' is quite a bit smaller diameter than the aft nacelle. On the NG version, it appears the aft nacelle tapers into the exhaust spike, which is incorrect. Hard to tell definitively, though, as the engines are out of focus in the photo.

I agree with your photoshop rendering; it's more accurately positioned, reference both the upper deck window line and upper deck door.

These look so good! The 737 seems to have droopier cockpit windows on the sides when they should be pointing up more, there also seems to be something wrong with the 787 cockpit windows. Also is the lighting in the room making the colors a lot brighter? The gol on the Singapore looks more like yellow, so I'm hoping that's just the lighting. Great job NG!

I noticed that too. The lighting is a little off in the photos.

Yeah, NG’s photos are usually off with the color; it makes the model’s colors over saturated to my eyes.

I know it doesn't belong in the August batch of releases, but has anyone heard any news about the NG's ANA B787-9 JA873A? It was supposed to be in the July batch, which subsequently got pushed to August? I understand it'll likely have to fly under the radar but...?

I’m not sure if the ANA is coming in this months releases but I don’t think they’d post pictures due to licensing. If they did post pictures it can get traced back to them right? Hence why the box will probably not have NG branding.

From these two photos from NG Models' own Facebook page, the exhaust cones look good and aren't directly tapered from the N2 stage.

Yeah. The lighting is off, which sometimes make the models look like they're in a wrong color. I have seen a SkyTeam livery 738 today in real life and I think the model is great! Also both the Fiji and SWA look amazing!

Btw hi Rice Drew and JJ haha.

Good job on finding that photo, thanks for that. Looks quite a bit better, seeing it up close.

They never got it truly correct. It should look more like the image on the right (original on the left.)

Personally, waiting to see photos the American 757.
From what I can see I agree with you. And the exhaust cones shouldn't be the same size and almost flush with the back end of the N2. But it's early stages so let's see!

A few will be making their way to my shelves. Keep up the great work NG
