Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

You wait years for the 772 you really want... then two come along at once
Finally, a Thai 777-200 in the 90s livery! Will also get the Landor to replace my outdated Gemini example. Great month Phoenix!

Unfortunately all these Phoenix moulds are not my cup of tea. 777,747,787,A 350. There are far better moulds and printings from other manufacturers as everybody knows here.

I'd love to get all these models but not from Phoenix. But do we have a choice? If we want to get a Landor 772 we have to choose Phoenix and their (for me) outdated 777 mould.

KLM 747's for me, but only because of the registrations. Too bad they keep using that crappy mould.

I’m in the same boat, I want an Air India 787 but the Phoenix mould is average. On the other hand, who else will make this?

I’m presently having the same dilemma.

Having flown both the Gandhi and Guru Nanak liveries; I feel so tempted to get them; but the mould makes me question my decision.

The old livery Thai B772 is good news. But I will wait for photos of the model before I decide to buy. Phoenix B772s sometimes don't represent the aircraft very well, and with the old Thai livery (and the new livery for that matter), colors are sometimes shockingly off.

Hopefully, in this case, the pattern of multiple manufacturers releasing the same thing around the same time happens with this model and JC Wings announces this model too. I would pre-order a JC version without hesitation....except....you end up waiting half a year or more to see the model!

Just take a look at the current PX Qatar Cargo 772F. Then you'll know how the Landor will look like...

Never change a running system. People are buying it. That's how it works.

I hope Gemini will get access to the JC 777 mould .

There are already multiple manufacturers for one model. China Eastern 777-300 ER B-2002 CIIE.. Announced by AV 400, JC Wings and Phoenix..

I don't think there will be a second multiple announcement.

I only rate the JC wings 787-8 mould highly and if they release it, it won’t be for another 10 years (hyperbole). So I guess we don’t have a choice.

The funny thing is I used to absolutely rave about Phoenix when they came out and I bought so many models they made ( except their 747's which are heap of dung!). So it was mainly their 777's and A330's that I collected, but with NG/JCW/AV400 who have the clear advantage here with these moulds, I'm not sure I'll ever buy PHX again!

Agreed, if I had to describe Phoenix in one word it would be average. They’ve fallen behind in terms of moulds but are very popular in Asia so no reason to improve I guess.

Totally feel you, in my case with the Turkish A350. I’d even wait for JC, Av400 or even Gemini to get it. Got very few Phoenix, but they’re all pretty bad... I avoid them as much as I can.

Average 787 mould is still decent. The 747 mould is horrific.

I remember when Phoenix had the best 77W out there, everyone raved about it.
Phoenix fill many holes in my collection, things others have forgotten. (JQ717 ect).
Phoenix A330 mould is decent IMO.

Yes, the PX A 330 is decent. I got some KLM's. But compared to other manufacturers like NG or Panda it appears kinda toy-ish imo.

Thinking about that air Hong Kong as well.

Phoenix 77W was the bees knees at one time. Crazy how not keeping up with the others puts you down on the bottom of the list quickly!

Interesting how so many people equate not being the best as being rubbish. What a wonderful black and white world.

The quality of the Phoenix 777 moulds may have been surpassed but they are still quite functional representations of the type in this scale.

I'd be more worried about Phoenix's real problems, dodgy QC and printing.

Exactly - I have no issues at all buying a Phoenix 777 if it's made in a livery that I like.

Agreed I would too if they print the cockpit properly. There aren't many Phoenix 777s that aren't being made by JC or AV but this BA 777 is one and quite tempting.

Indeed. I'll be keeping a close eye out for the first actual release pics of the BA Landor 77E and if they have their printing/QC act together, they'll have made a sale. Bonus as it has a different rego to my old GJ one.
