Default Recent dealings with NG models

Greetings all,

I wanted to see if anyone has had any recent dealings with NG customer services. I received a defective L1011 from a retailer, asked for a replacement part from them, they said they would reach out to NG. No response from retailer despite efforts to follow up.

Then sent NG several messages via Facebook, no response. Then emailed them directly. No response.

I was hoping better from them...….

Anyone had good luck with them responding in the last few months?

I contacted NG models for a replacement box and they contacted me right of way and told me that a replacement box would be sent to the retailer of whom I bought the plane from.

This is a very small issue, my aircraft is missing the center trim ring on the number 2 engine. But would certainly like it as it looks pretty bad without it.

Me too, one of the original 2018 tin boxes, plus always had good contact and spare parts responses after that up until around six months ago, but now no replies to anything anymore. Not that I'm in the habit of inundating them with e-mail about parts and model requests though, which may in itself be part of the reason they're not as responsive as they used to be, coming more in line with some of the other manufacturers who seldom/never reply to customer correspondence ?

I had an inquiry about the R2D2 (and some requests I had) and they answered in a day, note there are different time zones. This was less than a month ago. Give them time

I had issues with a British Airways L-1011. Missing Registration under the wing, scratched and Paint marks on top of Fuselage. After an Intial "Please do contact us direct via Facebook then Email", I heard nothing more. Not Suprised, the Diecast Manufacturers are going the same way of nearly all commercial companies nowadays. They dont give a damn as long as they have our money.

I was in touch with them recently about a delivery slot time of a certain model and they got back to me right away. I'm not condoning this kinda action, but I'm assuming they cherry pick which emails to reply to. They probably have one person who's in charge of email correspondence with collectors/ retailers and that same person has other duties within NG,so not constantly monitored and like I said probably cherry picked!! To be fair they probably seriously inundated with millions of emails!

Anyone know if Gemini will be any better? Got a mucked up A359 cockpit window paint job and retailer which posted it just said they were too tied up to do QC before posting.

p.s. I definitely dig NG models, but have never dealt with returns/defects. Though I did just receive one through the mail with a wing that fell off... immensely surprising since I regard their packaging to be the best in the 1:400 game. Time to shop for some glue.

Recommend going through your retailer to get replacement NG gear, I have a stock of NG parts on hand and I would assume most other decent retailers do as well. Should be a fast and easy replacement in most cases. May need to pay shipping but you can also get them along with an order of planes.

I wish it was that easy, when I bought from this retailer the only one that had the model in stock. I advised them when it arrived damaged, they said they would see what they could do and they have stopped responding to emails regarding getting this part…
