Default Look What Just Arrived...

Today is proving to be a good day. Not only did my beloved Aston Villa avoid relegation but another box has arrived and look what is inside it.

Despite Covid 2020 is proving to be another bumper year for 400 scale. We've had the Tu-134 (look out for the review coming tonight), the return of the BigBird 747 and Aeroclassics 727-100 plus these two beauties.

I will work to get detailed reviews of each new mould into August's post release schedule so keep your eyes peeled.

I wonder why there’s so much room in the foam cradle, behind the tail of the 747SP. It’s almost as if there’s room for something longer, to fit in the same box.

Very good observation... I like where we're headed with this speculation!

I am sure they have the classics 747s on the agenda, but I wouldnt take too much from that. I thought that too at first, but the foam cradle itself looks to be for the SP, as well at the plastic cover. I think when they finally do the other 747s, it'll be a different foam cradle and plastic cover. I think the reason there is so much room is to make use of their larger boxes used for 787s and A330s. But I hope I am wrong! As much as I am looking forward to the SP, I am very much looking forward to the day we see some classic 747s.

The A350 looks promising. Judging from their instagram, it looks like QR will one of the first releases.

They look nice.
I'm wondering, those pre-models, what are they made off? Are they diecast or is it a kind of resine? The white looks so shiny.

That is awesome to see they're releasing both engine options from the onset. I am so looking forward to this aircraft!

The investment in the tooling for all three engine types, in my mind is geared towards the release of all those classics 747-100,200,300s.

Surely 747-400s will follow
